2019 Broncos Line-up

Too true mate.
Boyd is holding back Milford's brilliance. The relationship has got more toxic since the heartache of 2015. Somethings got to give...
Based on what? You can't just call something someone read somewhere too true because it suits your agenda. The fullback talking shouldn't stop anyone else from talking, that's ridiculous.

If we had just recruited the right 7 to play alongside Milford we would have never had any issues with how Milf plays. He was supposed to be a ball running 6 with bursts of flair.

It's just wrong that we haven't had the brains to go out and buy someone like a Nathan Cleary or Cooper Cronk.

Instead we bought Jack Bird. We bought Bird when we knew we needed a decent 7.

You realize that none of them wanted to come to the Broncos, right? What options did we have? Realistic options.. Not fantasy.

Slater was one of the biggest talkers in the game, it didn't hold the Storm's halves back.

Milford is just a quiet unassuming guy, running the show doesn't come naturally to him, it has to be learnt. He has to learn to talk over Boyd and countermand if needed. Boyd is not holding him back, if Boyd shut-up it would be terrible for the team... and why would he, he's captain...no one else is really putting their hands up at the moment.

I said from memory. I never said my memory is perfect.

I honestly do think that we could play the whole season without Boyd, Bird and Macca and still make the top 8.

Wish Seibold had the stones to do it.

1.Isaako 2.Oates 3.Roberts 4.Staggs 5.Vudogo/Kenner 6.Milford(c) 7.Nikorima 8.Lodge 9.Turpin 10.Ofahangue 11.Fafita 12.Glenn (c) 13. Gillett

14.Sullivan 15.TPJ 16. Haas 17.Su'A
Res: Tagatese/Flegler/Carrigan
(running water: Langer/Boyd/Macca)

screw experience, lets forge a new destiny with form players having youth and x-factor

I do realise mate. If you think about it we could have just held onto the money, played Staggs in the centres and waited for the right 7 to pop up in the market. I used those two players as examples of the type of 7 we need.

You can quit with the condescending remarks.

People are starting to become condescending because they're tired of the same opinions being thrown around like facts. There was no 7's available worth having and Bird was a damn good rep player that would add anything to any team. We did not pay as much as you and everyone in the media seems to think we did for him and we have the best bunch of teenage halfbacks running around in the reserves that I have ever seen.

Isaako will be our fullback when he learns to play like a fullback and not a winger. Turpin might be our hooker when he starts actually playing better than our current one. This impatience to throw these players who aren't ready into positions they aren't used to usually ruins players. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but that doesn't mean you won't be called out if it's a shit opinion laced with inaccuracies and agendas, especially if you have form.

once again you are trying to re-write history ... we were negotiating with a quality 7 at the exact same time as we were signing Bird ... he just turned us down for the massive overs thrown at him by the Titans

Lodge is easily out best prop atm. He is also probably our best candidate for lock. He has the ball skills, the size, and footwork to dominate in that position. I wonder if TPJ or even Carrigan would be up to starting at prop besides Joe O in the season opener?

I doubt Seibold will try this but I reckon it could be pretty effective.

I agree, he is easily our best prop. So why not just leave him at prop?

Don’t really understand the obsession some seem to have about turning effective front rowers into locks? Sure it might be ‘basically’ the same spot these days, but if someone is good in one spot, why not just leave him there and find someone else who is good at the other spot?

Confused...

And Fafita?

I struggle to believe that people are clued up with their opinions when they don't even familiarise themselves with the player's names, let alone their playing ability.

spelling cop, gfy

Every time someone called McGuire 'Maguire' when he was with us I was irrationally pissed off to no end. It's really not difficult.

All that I've suggested is that we didn't need to rush out and buy a marquee signing. We should have held onto the cash and waited for a better option. Bird was never a good signing for us. There have been players like Shaun Johnson and Kalyn Ponga available. There are always players coming onto the market.

I think the Roosters do it best, they were okay with having a lean year or two in order to go out and be able to have a team with players such us Tedesco, Cronk and Keary in it.

I don't think you can justify having or showing an attitude of patronizing superiority.

I don't ever insult anyone on this forum and tell them that they're wrong. I accept that everyone has different opinions and that's what makes life and this forum interesting. If we all agreed with eachother there wouldn't be much discussion at all..

You guys insult me for saying things such as we probably could let go of McGuire and Kahu. Sounds crazy, but just have a look at what's happened.

Really? Misspelling an unfamiliar (infrequently used) word is very understandable, it's the often used words misspelled that astounds me. Your and you're, saw and fucking SEEN like some illiterate american hillbilly would certainly use. I have no real issue with getting it wrong especially when Fafita and Fifita sound so similar, at least when using our inner voices. I'm certain I've misspelled it in the past and I'm fucking brilliant.:dancer2:

No need to be confused mate. I completely understand what you are saying and in a lot of ways I agree.

However, I also do not see the harm in trying something new if it could possibly benefit the team. Becoming the best team we can be is surely the goal here.

Ultimately Joe O and Carrigan will probably be our starting props at some stage in the near future, and I can't see Lodge staying around much beyond his current contract.

I'm interested to see what team Seibold goes with after a few rounds of the competition.

I hope he gives TPJ first crack at lock personally.
