The top 29 just got released. Pretty much all the fringe forwards made it except Hopoate, plus Perese, Shibasaki, Kennar, O'Sullivan and for some reason Dargan. Turpin, Dearden, Tanah Boyd, Paix, Niu, Farnsworth, Vudogo, Coates, Burns, Hetherington, Palasia, Grant and Bullemor are the guys who played in the trials that missed out. It's a little concerning to see us going into the season with only one hooker in our top 29 but I don't know how lenient the NRL will be if McCullough gets injured or suspended.

Pretty sure Deardon will be taking the 30th spot in two weeks when he turns 18. But savilio May be dropping out if rumours in England are true.

Yep, this was actually covered a few pages back, but since this thread is so gargantuan, it was passed over pretty quickly.

The new additions were actually players like TPJ, Oates and Lodge who weren't officially signed back in November. Shibasaki, Dargan and O'Sullivan were a part of that initial 26 Man squad.

The changes were
- Dearden, Kahu, Taueli, McGuire
+ Fensom, Kennar, Lodge, Oates, Pangai Jr, Perese, Tagataese

In the case of Dearden, it was initially reported that he was a part of the squad, but was later omitted. I'm not entirely sure what the deal is surrounding Tom's status. Albert Hopoate is born in the same year and has remained a part of the Sea Eagles squad the entire off-season. Hopoate turned 18 in February, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the legality of his signing.

IIRC, only if there is a suitable replacement in the top 30. Last year we had at least one healthy spare player in the top 30 who could play centre. If there are no other viable hookers in our top 30 and Macca goes down, we’ll be able to go with a development player. Kind of smart by the Broncos in that way.

Clubs still require the NRL's permission until the deadline for player movement has past, which is June 30.

So from Round 16 on, the squad extends to 36.

whats everyone's thoughts on Perese? heard he didn't play especially well in the logan game - yet is in the 30? did he even trial?
