With a good pre season Sav could be a dark horse for lock. I do think eventually he will become a prop.

Big call but I like it. Savelio and Mago, and to a lesser extent tagatese, seem to be the forgotten men with all the bright prospects coming through. As far as Im concerned players should be picked on performances om the field and effort at training, and in this regard all those fringe bench players are starting out at the same starting point regardless of future prospects. Fai is another one, although I feel he may have been pushed back too far in the pecking order, and judging by his weight gain it doesnt look like he is super determined to prove them wrong. Mago, fai and savelio were also quite highly touted as juniors, just because they havent debuted and kicked on as teenagers it doesnt mean they never will..

I get the feeling it would be unwise to start all 3 of Offa, Lodge and TPJ in the middle. It will be interesting to see how we line up and if he changes regularly early on. Thoughts on Sua at lock? Would give the opportunity to Fifita to start.

I still really think we need TPJ to come off the bench to maintain the rage. He would bring fantastic impact when Lodge comes off.

Sua doesnt strike me as an option at lock tbh. Lock is going to be the most open position i think next year.

I think we should pick our best 13 and then rotate the bench forwards week to week depending on form and fitness. Would keep the young guys fresh

I agree with you on Tagataese but Mago has only played 14 games.

Mago is 25 though. He will be better for all of the ISC games he's played

We will be fine in the forwards. Glenn, Gillett and Taga are the old heads and im pretty sure they are capable of steering the ship on their own if necessary.

Agree Mago is one of the older heads but George Fai has played a lot of ISC and never really forced his way in the starting squad. Either way I think we will be fine.

Yeah Fai looked great in the 20s but just hasn’t made it at the Broncs unfortunately. Going somewhere else might be exactly what he needs.

I cant go into too much detail, and i'm not quite sure how i can say it without getting into trouble here, but best way i can describe it is he had at least one pretty serious clash with another player which didnt go down too well.
