Do agree re Gillett. He is the lynchpin in defence and only an idiot thinks that he would lose his spot to a rookie based off one injury. If half of these younger players reach the talent level of Gillett, we will be in for a few good seasons ahead.

It was a spinal injury.. It's not really something you can take lightly considering the contact sport Gillett is playing. It's the sort of injury that could mean he needs to play decreased minutes for the rest of his career.. Which would actually suit our line up considering we'll have Fifita and Staggs on the bench

You would hope he has fully recovered from it considering we just signed him for multiple years on decent cash. I'm still mystified that the grub who did it from the Drags didn't cop a suspension considering it was a clear cut crusher.

Haha we signed Boyd around the same time on a 4 year contract too.. not sure why because his hammies have been playing up.

There's been no real logic in what the Broncos have done in terms of recruitment. Retention has been okay.. could have been better too.

Well, the Broncs have already offloaded McGuire, that's a start. If the rumours around t hat Boyd is on a 2 and 2 deal are also true and if Gillett is on something similar, than I'm ok with that. If Moses is then bought in, well, that will suck and the current hopefulness may revert somewhat.

What is the point of these deals? I assume in the club’s favour means that if the club wants to keep the player they will if not they won’t. Why would a player agree to that?
