It's doubtful considering the depth we have there.

as stated, he'd be available from round 11.

however, we still have at least 1 top 30 spot available (2 if Tesi leaves) ... so a good pre-season could convince the club to hand that spot to him
I for one, want to see this happen at all sorts. I don’t have anything against Tesi but a change of place might work for his own good and we’re adequately served on our roaster needs.

Unless the club sees Madden as a potential 9?
14 maybe. But we still need a big motor hooker, which did look like it might've been Smoothy.

Daejern Asi signs with parra, thought he had a train and trial with us. Guess that didn't work out

Not that I'm surprised, he wouldn't have got a look in

Keenan Palasia has supposedly requested a release, reported around 10mins ago

I wonder what that's about given he re-signed stating it didn't feel right to leave after brisbane stood by him

Looking at the feeder clubs Wynnum are doing a really good job recruiting talent that have potential/desire to move up a grade. Going to have a really strong squad this year with Broncos reserve graders in there.

Who have they got coming?

As far as NRL hookers that are better than Walters, if we are just asking as general question and not about signings etc, I would rate the following better than Billy in no particular order:

Api
Grant
Hunt
B Smith
Hodgeson
Robson
Mahoney
Brayley
Watson
Verellis
Paix
Granville

Then you have guys are similar to Walters or slightly above

JMK
Simpkins
Liddle
Woolford
Starling
Croker
Boyd
I’d even say Turpin is comparable
Paix is not better than Billy Walters he offers nothing in attack

They announce a signing every few days. Have guys like GGM, Lachlan Timm, Brendan Frei etc, plus they had a decent squad already too.
If we let palasia go, and we are looking for another middle, lachlan timm would be a good pick up/fit for the team.

Given that kevie's typical bench rotation only gives one of our bench middles (or our 17) 15 minutes i think lachlan timm could be more damaging to the opposition than palasia in that time.

But as our top 30 is set for middle depth at the moment, and our current hookers are not able to handle above 45 mins, I would escalate smoothy to the 30 and have timm on the train and trial (so that he can play with first grade after several rounds).

They're probably equally excellent, but the good news is you won't have to choose. We'll have both: one at 9 the other at 14 (and then the other way around a week later), as our only options unless Smoothy is released from development detention or Mozer's balls suddenly drop.

Apologies in advance if someone has mentioned this before.

Possibly but I'll give you a pass since I don't think you've been involved in any of those conversations. Might be the first time you've weighed in, actually.
