No. This is why NSW and yourself don’t get Origin. They focus too much on the illegal stuff, the dog shots, trying to hurt people instead of winning the game of footy in front of them. You think of it as a story for your boy Badel to write about. That stuff is all well and good but it should not be the focus.

It's quite obvious that QLD has a stronger care for Origin than NSW do, at least in these 2 playing groups.

Haas was pretty dominant tbh, he was the primary reason NSW were winning the field position battle, Paulo was good too, but the backs are the reason NSW sucked, given the platform to do something but they looked lost.

Payne was outstanding. His offloads and go forward were killing us.
lack of cohesion in the NSW spine is what killed them. The outside backs are incorrectly getting the blame. They got terrible ball all night, the poor old centres were having to do flick passes because they got f all service from Teddy. I saw no shape out the back at all from NSW, QLD’s up and in defence was the reason, but NSW had to be better.
I’m thinking Trell to FB aka GI will help them. Dylan Edwards won’t solve their issues.

I think despite their meters we handled their forwards just fine tbh. They have plenty of grubs, but their pack doesn't have much physicality. Combine that with an impotent backline you can see why we are just a better Origin side than them. I didn't think they hurt us in any department in either game.

I think to a point it's harsh to say Payne hasnt stood out in Origin even though it's probably true. I said it while the game was happening on here, he plays just like he does for us in that vile blue jersey, and at a high level, but he hasn't had an Origin moment or a game changing Origin performance. Statistically he is a machine, but to go to another level in Origin you just need that something extra he hasn't found yet.

Has anyone in Origin ever turned around and thumped someone from their own team for being an absolute knob to someone from his club team? That would be amazing.
