Do we have a definite answer on whether the SOO counts as part of the three match ban? Or is he just ineligible for selection?

I don’t see how they can’t include it even if they wanted to. Radley was able to use origin as a game when he was suspended and he’d never played origin and wasn’t even in contention. Walsh is the current QLD fullback, so they just can’t not give it to him.

It's a bit of a twilight paradox: he'd have to be named first and then suspended. But because he's not available he can't be named. We have to take it for granted he's selected before the team is named. He probably is, but he only has two games under his belt. He's not Tedesco.

Imagine if the player in question were Selwyn Cobbo, for example. Is he an instant pick? Your guess is as good as mine. I think that depends on this weekend.

I think they would've had to ask for a special exemption or something. That's what I read somewhere, but I can't remember where.

It's a pretty steep punishment, even just financially. I hope whatever reason they really had for dishing it out was justified.

I hope he's right about Flegler. I was worried we might not see him in a Broncos jersey again. The trouble with projecting Riki's recovery as two months is his asset has been his massive workload. Injuries like this are going to affect that.

Agreed but again, it doesn’t matter whether he’s played 2 or 20 origins, it is still more than Radley and that should be the precedent.
