[2025 Trial] Broncos vs Bulldogs

I really hope the quick passing from our centres has been worked on by Madge... it's a must have requirement at centre nowadays and Cobbo is the only one I've seen be able to do it in the broncos... and he was doing it at an elite level.

Yes, the trend lately is a Harbour Bridge skipping the centres altogether. Our centres haven't been big on putting wingers away.

Not going on a massive sample size here, but if Paix can roll like he did in that trial - and that's Hunt's usual game - with Haas, Carrigan and Willison in tow, we're going to look a very different team from that one that required Mam or Walsh to conjure magic out of nothing.

A dummy half that runs and links up a la Cookie or Harry gets the forwards rolling and fatigues the opposition middles .
I wanted to see Paix do this a cpl of seasons back . His defence is what I`m watching for signs of improvement .

Man kev is not beating the nepo claims is he. Paix was banished to the shadow realm, wasn't even considered as a depth option, let alone be in the 13. Now it looks like he's first pick at 9 and jumped 3 players lmao. Not a great look.

Smoothy has signed elsewhere, and Mozer is injured. So yeah, he's jumped 1, not 3.

Smoothy is still available this season so he's jumped 2, not 1. It's yet to be seen whether he will jump Mozer.

What a turnaround for Paix, honestly thought he was done here, and wasting a roster spot in our top 30.

He is in the side today on merit, no question.

Not sure what to make from the starting 13 if that carries through to round 1. Gosiewski and Shibasaki must be showing enough to improve the defence. Paix at 9 looks good since he's a hooker doing hooker things well. Hetherington at 13 puts him at his best position and likely helps the balance of the team with Carrigan probably equally as effective at prop.

Bench will be interesting. Hooker / Piakura / Prop / Prop. Set expectations for a B. Walters appearance while Mozer is away.

BTK and Willison probably the 2 with the most upside.
