Bloody Yow Yeh, why on earth!!

Isn't Te'o an Aussie? He can count himself unlucky not to be picked for either train on squad!

I thought Tolman from Storm would have got a look in at the pm's xiii

Thats a good point, I missed that. He definitely should be in there.

The New Zealand 4 Nation squad has been named and no Hoffman. Is he still undecided?

If he had already picked to play for Australia you'd think he'd be in the PM's XIII.

Teo and Hoffman were robbed by both of their non birth countries.

Hoffman is no chance of Aus, but could def play for Kiwis.

Te'o should have made the Aussie squad. He's clearly eligible due to being part of origin camp.

Hoffman already declared his intent to play for New Zealand, can't understand why they haven't picked him.

I guess they felt they had enough cover at fullback with Hohaia, Perrett, Inu, Ropati and Goodwin there.

Kiwis did name Matai, highly doubtful he will get off that charge so Hoffman still a chance to be called in.

He has? He was undecided, and still yet to call back Kearney

Ah righto, could've sworn I read an article saying he has. Maybe it just said he was still unsure.

Hoffman unlikely for Kiwis
Newstalk ZB - September 1, 2010, 12:45 pm

Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney doubts highly rated Broncos fullback Josh Hoffman will play for New Zealand.

Hoffman was born and raised in Australia, but is eligible to play for the Kiwis through his father who is a New Zealand citizen.

However Kearney says reports that the 22 year old is ready to pledge his allegiance to the black jersey are wide of the mark. He says Hoffman is undecided but appears to be leaning towards wanting to play for Queensland.

Clinton Toopi's remarkable comeback to the NRL is unlikely to be enough to carry him back into the Kiwis.

Kearney says Toopi's been very impressive for the Gold Coast Titans in 2010, but he's still some way down his pecking order. He says there are a number of players ahead of Toopi at this stage.

Kearney will name his Four Nations training squad later this week, for players not involved in the NRL playoffs.

What are the odds they will lose now?

His captaincy record is a non-issue IMO, the only reason it is so poor is because when he captains the Broncos, Lockyer is out and usually we have many players on origin duty

He is a workhorse as a player, and someone who adds a lot to the team, but i don't believe he is captaincy material. He doesn't stand out as a motivator / someone the younger players look up to and has that intimidation factor.
