I’m fairly certain he looks after most of the coaches. I know for a fact that there are a number of other agents who are filthy with some of his tactics and what’s transpired recently.
You dont think Seibs needs to sort out whats not working?
Don't you start, I am more than happy to address anyone making sensible posts. The crap about going back to being a teacher and getting an apple was what I was referring to. Obviously went over your head, anytime you want me to explain something too you please feel free to ask.
When your sauce is gordy... is it time to give it away...Gotta love how the Lurker jumps on this just after comments are made. He obviously had no idea and the raging fool has just put the thought into his head.

I did ask, you didnt answer. I think its a more than fair question regardless of the teacher comments.

I'm fairly sure i asked a question.
I have responded in other posts. I think there are manifold issues with this team that have to be addressed (I in fact posted what I believed these to be before a ball was kicked this season and whilst we were still in pre-season).
I believe that Seibold's ability to make substantial changes are limited for the reasons identified by rogerwilco in his posts earlier today and by the cattle available. It is coaching 101 that you do not make changes unless the player you are bringing by virtue of form or experiencewho you know (or have good grounds to believe) will do a better job than the incumbent.
In terms of Nikorima, each of Paix, Boyd and Dearden are too young and inexperienced to be thrown into NRL at this stage of their development. It would in fact be deterimental to their future careers for them to be blooded now, particularly with a team not gelling and under pressure. That leaves SOS, who has had one average game. Unless and until there is someone banging down the door demanding to be selected because of their form, you cannot replace Nikorima. This is exactly what he appears to have done with your love child Carrigan. Carrigan's form has demanded his selection. Sua has been ordinary and I believe he will be the one to go.
In terms of fullback, the only viable option we have is Isaako, who you do not believe will make a good fullback. In any event. wth the lack of confidence that Isaako is showing, it would be a huge risk to put him at fullback. Re the suggestion of moving Bird back there, fullback is a specialist position. Bird has had limited exposure to the position and I would have grave concerns about his physical capacity and whether he has the miles in his legs to meet the physical demands of the role. You do not weaken one position to strengthen another in my opinion.
I would dearly love to replace Boyd, but I just do not think we have a suitable replacement at this time. If we came up with a viable halfback option, I would like to try K Nik there.
Rinse and repeat with the hooker position. So I definitely believe that there are substantial issues that have to be addressed by the coaching team with this squad (and always have). There ability to undertake the necessary structural changes that are required are limited at this time. What they can do is try and get a result on areas of attitude, consistency, defensive structure and commitment to defence.
I had no great belief that we were ever going to have a great season this year. But I am prepared to give the new regime time to see what they can do (unlike a lot of the princesses on here).
Tell the **** to **** off until contracts are up for renewal. Until that time he should be unsighted.
Responded to above, enjoy.
Bird was great at fullback, but obviously he is going to need time to adjust to that position again. I dont see dropping in Staggs for Bird as weakening us at all really, the issue is Jimmy, he just isnt fit, so i cant see us bringing in Bird to fullback at this stage. Personally, i'd have no concerns with Shibasaki at center for a while along with Kotoni and move Bird to fullback, Boyd to wing. If Roberts is out a while, i'd be looking at picking somebody up if possible.
Even though SoS has only played limited minutes, i'd still put him in because the dynamic between Milf and Knik just isnt right. HE doesnt have to do anything special, just do a basic number 7 job. Milf can be the special player. Dearden has had another strong game today, so a bit like Fifita last year i think he could be playing sooner rather than later. Some guys you just need to get them in there and manage them week to week. A good coach will know how to do it.
The hooker situation imo isnt anywhere near as bad as people make out. Macca for 20 mins, then Knik for 20 mins or so for a bit of spark. Its an easy fix and its worked before.
I really dont get why people are thinking its going to be detrimental for Seibold to make a lot of changes to a team that isnt performing. Its not like he has anything to lose, in fact, he is more likely to get more leeway for a poor season if we are showing signs of developing our younger guys. The talent is in this squad, i feel right now the coach is as big an issue as the players. As i have said before, i think he has bottled some decisions with our back rowers, and i dont think his game plan is working. I'm not worried yet, but if we are still not doing much in 6 games time, i'll be very concerned.
I never hid my thoughts on Bennett, and I don't say anything I don't mean for a pretence or an extra like.Your anti-bias Bennett is pretty obvious for everyone to see except yourself. Sure you can say he's a great man manager every few posts about him to pretend you can see the good and bad but you were fuming when Griffin got the arse, making Bennett out to be the devil himself and you couldn't be more pleased to have seen him get the arse for Seibold.
- Bad decision, every coach makes some, but also a decision endorsed by the board. I pretty clearly said in my post it was a mistake and that Bennett doesn't write or sign off on contracts
- I also clearly addressed this, nothing more to say there.
- We actually beat good teams last year, this year we've got stomped by them, that's bad coaching by Seibold. Whether he can turn that around is yet to be seen but I expect him to. Somehow blaming it on Bennett is a weak argument. Defence is attitude, it can be changed overnight. We were great against the Cowboys, by your measure, that's all thanks to Bennett. If we're going to deflect blame to Bennett you'd want to deflect all credit to Bennett too if we end up doing well this year.
Out of all 16 rosters in the NRL which roster would you swap with ours? Melbourne/Rooster infinite salary cap aside.

Where does the attitude problem stem from? Left over from previous years, old players not leading by example, new players trying to fit in, young players being too arrogant, a half that's not a leader trying to lead, a captain who gives up too easily etc. Consequences for these attitudes will help but it won't fix everything. Each player responds differently and subsequently the whole team will react differently. What you don't want is players losing faith in the coach. That will rot the whole team.
I will say one thing. I am absolutely shattered that we had one of the best fullbacks in the competition, that could have possibly ended up being better than Slater, thrown into the halves. For me it's not too late to move Milford back there. What's wrong with having a genuine fullback stay there for his entire career? Milford single handedly won games playing from fullback. If I was the coach it is a change I would make immediately. But I am not the coach and never will be. It's easy to say these things when you are not in the hot seat.
Re your comments, Shibasaki has not set the world on fire and that would leave us with two rookie centres. Hence we would be weakening one position to strengthen another. So with your scenario, who are you dropping out of Oates or Isaako?
Re halfback, I think Dearden is the intended option, they are just going to give him a bit more time and a bit more exposure playing men before giving him a go in the NRL. I agree with you that having KNik spelling McC off the interchange bench is probably the best we can expect at this time.
I think it is detrimental to make a lot of changes at the one time (but that is just me). I think it is better to do it incrementally so you can assess the impact of the changes. Any move to drop Boyd or move him from fullback is going to be hugely controversial in my view.
