Yes yes but you don't need to play everything out in the media, it never used to be this way.

and people used to complain that the club wouldn't talk about what was happening

Did they? You are probably right but it was way better than what it is now.

yeah i used to see it all the time, on here and elsewhere.

It's a bit like what has happened with our youth policy. people demanded we not lose any of these guys ... they get what they want, then complain about the inevitable results of that decision

Oh yeah, that second point definitely happened but that is also why it appears as though the club is run by amateurs. No one in a professional capacity could have thought the youth policy was the right way to go, it has never worked, think Roosters, Tigers, Broncos circa 2008. But then, look at the 6 year deal to a rookie coach which a below average coaching record, a bit of homework would have told them all this.

Lockyer is reportedly backing him to stay:

“We all have to accept some ownership for the situation. Tevita has plenty to offer as a player. He has made some selfish choices on the field at times and he has made some selfish decisions off the field, but we can‘t put all the blame on Tevita. If he wants to fight to keep his contract here, that‘s a good sign.”
Why can’t we blame Tevita for his selfishness?

Genius move from TPJ (or maybe Isaac Moses).

TPJ: "I'm reborn... I want to be a Bronco again!!... please dont sack me 😟😟"

Broncos: "it's ok Tevitey.... We were just dissappointed ... glad you have admitted to your faults. We wont issue you with a breach notice"

3 months later TPJ leaves the club with his $650k in tact 😎😎

... of which Broncos will be paying 40% to play against us

Sure your not a movie script writer in your spare time?

I'm a bit confused again. I'm sure after the Broncos handed down the breach notice they gave TPJ 5 days to show just cause as to why his contract should not be terminated. That was over a week ago.

After the flogging last year at the hands of Parra there was talk of ramifications and changes afoot. However, after 'the review' not much if anything was done to rectify the teams lack of discipline. This has come back to bite us big time as our club staggers drunkenly from pillar to post reeling from one major crisis after the other. TPJ's was mostly his own doing, but if the club had been fair dinkum after last September the players would have been more reluctant to play up.

Throughout this whole sorry saga I keep convincing myself that the club is moving heaven and earth to rectify our meltdown and there will be a major announcement soon, but like last September all we got was a quote from Morris last night saying Pies is going nowhwere at least until the season end review.

Whether the club sacks him now or at the end of the season, they still have to pay his wages. I'd much rather they cut their losses and paid for someone who can actually do the job.

It's time to face the cold hard truth. The coach cannot coach to NRL standard and the longer he is left at the helm the more damage the next coach will have to repair when he comes here. If i were a shareholder I'd be looking at my legal options to sue the club for gross dereliction of duty.

So the club as a whole want TPJ sacked, they issued him a notice, and he has been stood down for the season.
Yet we have D.Lockyer going in to bat for him to stay as a Bronco at the same time?
This is a board member, fighting his own club, to keep a dickhead on the books.

This club is imploding.

There is plenty of dickheads at all footy clubs, some might even say most footy players are dickheads. Sometimes it comes down to if that dickhead can help you win a premiership, and he is still a young dickhead too so he may grow out of being a dickhead.

If the reports or accusations are true that the club has bungled his stand down notice i'm going to be livid. Its has been reported that the notice didnt include the correct information and was on grounds that arent reason for actual stand down. Apparently it has been withdrawn so they can re issue the notice with the right information and legal reasons?

If so, the board must hand in their notices, the club is utterly incompetent.

Yeah but fans, myself included, are idiots. These guys get paid huge salaries because they’re meant to be better at this stuff than us.

Yes but it came from Hooper on NRL360, so take it with a grain of salt. That said, the Broncos are a laughing case at the moment, so it is possible.

I think Blooper has got this one right. The HR departments everywhere seem to be similar, they believe they're the highest authority on everything. The breach notice could ONLY be about the covid breaches. The club was perfectly happy to let him play prior to the covid breaches and there should have been absolutely no mention of disciplinary records involved.

That's opportunistic. I think he'll remain at the Broncos and even with a new(severely weakened breach notice) he'll likely cop a fine and season suspension.

If Bloopers report is accurate (?) then the Bronco's have told the world why they want to sack him and clearly the covid thing would be seen as just a pretext.

That gives TPJ the high moral ground. No, I didn't say I think he's a saint.

Funny how TPJ suddenly feels like he owes the club something only after Trent Robinson comes out and throws an emphatic "No" at him.

If we had actually held on to Fifita, I would be saying let the arrogant **** rot, but we kind of need him as much as he needs us now, especially if Lodge has become an injury magnet.
