You know, he could just be thick. My next oldest brother is not bright and once, after freely giving up two of my four weeks leave to help him prep his house for sale he never even considered handing me a six pack or even saying thanks. A bit aspergers like. He was unaware. It was only after our mother pointed it out to him that he became aware.

So your saying we need to him him not to sell himself to other clubs and hang out with bikies?

I'm deeply hoping that when the club issued the edict that he had five days to show why he shouldnt be sacked that TPJ would show some remorse and humility and ask not to be sacked and as a show of faith he would donate match payments fom every game he has missed to charity.

He'd then need to come out and openly admit he stuffed up big time and apologize to the club, the fans and the NRL and promise to make it up to everyone by showing his talent every time he pulls on a Broncos jersey.

I know this is probably too much to ask of the manchild, but I do live in hope.

First and foremost he needs to convince the board he wants to stay, otherwise he's gonski.

Oh dear, did you read my words but they didn't mean the same thing to you as they did to me? Like I chose those words because they had a specific meaning but you missed it? If I wanted to write what you have written I'd probably have used similar words although I would use 'you're' instead of your.

I don't think TPJ is thick. I think he is full of rat cunning and he is on his behaviour, a real rat. He knows exactly what he is doing and he doesn't give a **** about the consequences on those who matter outside his thought bubbles. Sadly, he doesn't because I believe he is simply unable - see below.

Your analogy to Asperger's syndrome is interesting. People with Aspergers think instead of feel. If you talk to them about humility, they look it up in the dictionary and then substitute the dictionary definition for a real feeling. That is why they can't relate to emotionally to others, and why they can't conceive of the effects their behaviour has on others ... like his team mates, and the wider community.

I think conflating "being thick" with Aspergers is a bit wide of this mark, although TPJ does show signs of that illness (part of autism). People with Aspergers redefine the meaning of selfish. No amount of rational discourse will have any effect on them. Financial pain might but only in a superficial way. TPJ remains for me a sad case of a certified selfish prick, to be pitied more than crucified. Aspergers is a disease, not a choice, although his choices still wound those who care.

I assumed you'd know I have some knowledge concerning the spectrum. Not sure why you feel the need to attempt to educate a reasonably well educated man of 62.

I don't know TPJ so I have little insight or information other than what the unreliable media present but a lot of you guys seem to know this player and many others quite well. In fact so well you know what they're thinking and their motivations and intent in nearly all matters.

Aspergers is a disease?

Aspergers is a disease?

Part of the Autism spectrum, however, I will admit "disease" is the wrong description. It's a mental, or even a brain and/or neurological disorder, a disability, with unknown causes. Thanks for pointing that out. I was wrong for calling it a disease.

Not trying to educate you Huge, just comment on your post. As the old saying goes ... give instruction to a wise man and he will be wiser still.

Aside from which, I'm 67, your 62 so I am pulling rank

Ok, can't get much chillier. Rainy, overcast and cold in Perth. Make sure you use those little facey things so I know when you're joshing. You know how hard it is for we old folk.
