Regardless of rumours, etc the guy has done superbly. Think about it, he knows he won't get another head coaching role but if he does as bad a job as he has done, just imagine the royalties he will get from his best selling memoirs. Let's face it, we will all be willing to pay for it and read it.

If you had seen the rumour which is the most liekly cause of this action, you would understand that it has many aspects, and many names, and other people involved. Coming out and basically repeating it, just to deny it, isn't great.
