Anthony Seibold is no longer our coach

It's not a claim. It was an observation, and it seems you have taken it the wrong way. I'm not saying Boyd deliberately wasn't vocal just to undermine Seibold, or that he has only started being vocal once he left.

I do however believe Boyd has looked far more comfortable the past few weeks without Seibold. That's understandable since he removed himself from the leadership group due to a difference of opinion with Seibold. Something clearly was not right between them. I think in the the past few weeks with Gentle in charge he looks more interested, more vocal and more like an older version of Boyd. Perhaps playing fullback again has also sparked something in him. But where were those qualities earlier in the year, or for the most part of last year?

Either way, there's no denying he was very much invisible playing centre earlier in the year. He looked disinterested, and failed to stand up when we needed someone to take charge. I guess he felt he didn't have to lead the team as it was no longer his job.

But that's my issue with the senior guys in the team. No one puts their hand up and demands that the rest of the team follow them. Our team lacks the leadership to push through moments in games where things are going horribly wrong. The whole teams attitude shifts and they all drop their heads. That's not purely down to poor coaching, which is my original point. There are other underlying issues that needs to be addressed as well as the coaching situation.
I'm okay with all that and have no issues with you believing whatever you like, he'll you may be right about some of it. I have a problem with absolutes and straight out false claims. I understand a bit of hyperbole too. On this site there are still posters like myself who like certain players and only ask that claims either be true or have supporting evidence. On DB I believe he's always tried his guts out, I don't buy the popular line. That said his form has wavered but the reasons are not always clear. Everyone is human and prone to highs and lows and so it is with form.

I believe he has done his best and has lead with action at times over words. I don't give a flying **** about the negativity on here because I know he's lost more blood for the Broncos in one game than this entire forum has in it's members lifetimes. He'd also likely knock the flying **** out of 99.99% of the guys on here who call him gutless and peahearted.

When he lost the captaincy it was no longer his job to lead, rally and inspire the troops. That was Glenn and Carrigan's job. That didn't stop him having a say AFTER the captain and despite your claims, which we both know were incorrect he did, on many occasions. I think the negativity on here is a sad reflection of society in general. We should support our guys even when we aren't happy with them. That doesn't mean they should be free from criticism. Respectful criticism without the disgraceful and gutless personal attacks. Not saying you did that, more as a generalisation.

**** can you imagine the absolute scenes here if Broncsgoat was appointed coach or ceo? It would make the great Pies debacle of ought twenty look like a schoolyard scuffle by comparison.

So from reading through this people still want to point fingers while strangely defending the indefensible.

The coach has a lot of the blame to shoulder. He did not train to the caliber or character of his men. He seemed to be unable to rework his plans or divert from his grand plan. It appeared from looking in that he was also incapable of dropping those senior players that just could not play for him. He failed to set the global standard and had no solid foundations for future actions. So he failed clearly but he was not alone.

The senior players under Seibs cleary did not perform infact were often the worst performing players more often than not. They also failed to provide leadership week in and week out. Infact Milford was the most out of shape on return from Covid break. Unacceptable for the highest paid player and a senior member. Boyd well everything has been said and anyone defending him is delusional. The last two years have been an absolute disgrace on leadership alone.

The junior players shouldered a lot of the burden and tried filling the leadership void but i think this lead to overplaying and lack of discipline. Frustrated and clearly unhappy at times. Mostly promising just clearly not ready.

The boardroom and Ceo levels just failed to either support or pull Seibold into line. His support staff was probably the worst I have ever seen. There was literally nobody that anybody knew and the one or two people we did know had no real high level experience.

All in all the club as a whole from the board right on down to the players and everyone in between have failed in to some degreeover the last 18 months.

That's why Kev is the man for the job. He is one guy who could unite the club. I am not talking about a premiership I am talking about a united club turning up each and every week. As a fan i can get behind that. I can support a performing underdog.
Well said mate.

**** Seibold, he deserves everything he gets (except the money).

We’d find out who the real fans are
Unlike you and those others who weren't interested in giving Seibs the opportunity to prove himself, deathriding him instead to justify their outrage at WB's sacking, I'd give you the same opportunity I gave every Broncos coach in the interest of the club.

P.S. Maybe that's why people have little belief in how much you actually care for the club...

I didn't have to look very hard to TOTALLY DISPROVE the ridiculous assertion above!!
Just have a look at a replay of the Sharks Broncos game. 14 minutes from half time, in goal, there it is, DB revving up the team. Next instalment, 3 mins from fulltime, just after the Sharks take the lead, again see DB, reving up the team, full voice, trying to tell them we can win it in the dying minutes.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Two examples in just the one game. There are many many more throughout the season and Gentle had nothing to do with them. Is it time for you to concede you got it wrong? I mean that stupid statement above? Man up and own it, don't deflect. Were you wrong???
I understand that he may have exaggerated it but i do have to agree with him on this one he has had more of a voice in the game ever since being back in the fullback position and even more so under Gentle. Also you found 2 examples in one game, congrats, he had little to no voice last year and players like Glenn, Gillett and Lodge were doing the job while he sat back and just listened.

Also no need to be a prick about it. He is partaking in a forum where his views and opinions are allowed to be shared not bagged. Have a bit of common decency. Trust me the day you get something wrong or someone else doesn't agree with you, you will prefer that they didn't have a go at you like you just did

I’ve been pretty forthcoming that I don’t particularly like any of the players and feel the board hasn’t made a correct decision for two years.

I’m hoping Kevvy can right the ship, assuming it’s not been burnt with the rest of the boats otherwise I’m pretty much done with league. I’ve been a supporter for 30 years, doesn’t mean I have to fall in line and blindly follow them if I disagree with their actions, and I’ll never support another club.

I’ve just had time to sit down and watch the press conference from today. As much as I’ve been enraged by the broncos performances this year it’s hard not to feel sorry for Seibold.

He comes across as a guy who gave it his all and unfortunately for whatever reason his all just wasn’t good enough. He looked mentally broken but at the same time almost relieved that it was over. I can’t place the blame squarely on him like some people have. At the end of the day he wasn’t the one out on the field giving away stupid penalties, wasn’t one of five players who just fell off a tackle close to the try line to allow a try countless times this year and he wasn’t the one out on the field giving up.

I tell you what though. Whoever the broncos get to coach next year they have a huge task ahead of them. The players obviously need a huge attitude adjustment or I fear this time next year we will be in the same predicament.

Despite the titans record, they've actually had stages throughout games where they have looked good. They haven't put an 80 minute performance together yet, but they were starting from such a low baseline that I've actually enjoyed some of their play. Whereas we went from one win away from minor premiers to one loss away from the spoon.

So have the bulldogs
