Auckland 9s Broncos v Bulldogs

I love those fans that think it's some sort of sin to be critical of the club they support. They make me smile, because clearly anything is good enough for them. The players love them, because ****, they don't even have to win, and they still get praise from their fantastic never critical fans.
There's a huge difference between criticising and whingeing. The latter gets really tiresome...

It's like people think that it's okay to bag whoever they want relentlessly, but get butt hurt as soon as someone pulls them up on it. Freedom of speech for the whingers, because they're just expressing an opinion...

I'm starting to think that you're growing out of Internet forums. Get your head straight. This is the Internet for gods sake.

Being critical is an understatement on how this forum has been.

I agree there should be constructive criticism but a lot of it on here is destructive criticism

So what? People are allowed their opinion. Is a player is constantly playing like a busted asshole, it's the norm for people to say things like "Give him time" "He's coming back from injury" "He's done this really well, he's lacking this" "He's only young" blah blah.

I'd prefer to see people ripping their team to shreds. Because if ANY of the above excuses get used, the player is NOT fit to play in a professional football competition, especially in my team.

Yeah mate... That is exactly how the internet should be used.

The thing about opinions, is that everyone is entitled to one, including thinking that all the whingeing is a fucking pain in the arse!

Those Parramatta fans sure did look great booing their own team off the field. That's how we currently sound on here.

You're 100% right.

The Broncos can do no wrong. Players and staff are all gods.

Who has said that though? No one. All some people have asked for is to not throw the baby out with the bath water, which seems to be offensive to some people

How dare we be positive and actually have faith in our team. We are ridiculous.

The only true fans are the ones that run down there team and deny any improvement, even if it exists. True story.

Of course there are negatives.

Griffin is still coach, although until another option is available the alternative (Kearney) is horrifying, so I don't believe in this 'sack griffin now' movement

Going by our first trial out defence is still a major concern.

Ben hunts inconsistency is a concern. When he gets it right he gets it really right, but leading into the season it is a worry.

The fact is though if you only focus on the negatives it just feels like a tantrum.

For me the positives from what we have seen.

Macca looks far far improved and more consistent. Seems to be stepping up the decision making more too

Thaiday looks like the old thaiday, the pre captain thaiday, which is great to see

Parker looks like the captaincy has only made him better... If that's possible

Barba Has had a solid start and seems to be in a very good head space.

Mills, who I thought would be a solid depth signing at best looks fantastic. Fast and allusive and he seems to have fit right in with the team. Especially with kahu out will definitely be pushing for round 1 selection. Another positive for me with this is that we finally have the depth in the backline to call hoffmans bluff and tell him to go IMHO

We finally have speed in our backline, and if griffin can learn how to use it (that's a big if) it could be lethal.

Martin Kennedy - the front rower we have been missing IMHO

Copley - beast mode is fully engaged.

If Hunt doesn't step up in the first few minutes I'd like to see McCullough and Granville on the field at the same time. Both are looking good. Nikorima looks like he's made for this sort of competition. And if Gillett tries to grubber early in the tackle count and isn't replaced I'll be unhappy. He's the reason the Roosters had such good field advantage. Starting their sets on the 50 definitely didn't help.

Don't be so hypocritical. If people want to speak down about the team, they have every right to do that. Who are you, Mr. Positive to tell them that they can't do that?

You're doing exactly the same as them, you just think the opposite.

Funny most of the whinge club disappeared once we got to the final.

But they'll be back...

Season isn't far away, they'll come out and cover their chins in shit again.

Haha I love that saying. I've never heard it before and actually had to think about what it meant. Know I want to use it all the time. All. The. Time.

This is ridiculous. I'm willing to risk a ban by arguing back right now because I can tolerate negativity but I won't stand for it if it's just being negative for the sake of being negative. We had a shit year and everyone now sounds like they're a bunch of Raiders fans infiltrating this forum. Saying things like "McCullough still hasn't impressed me" even though he was one of the best at the 9s is just being negative for no reason. Copping arguments from people for saying with Origin centres out, it's the perfect time for Copley to stand up is just bullshit too. Were they arguing that it's not the perfect time for him to step up? That's just being negative for the sake of being negative. "We're the only team to put up midfield bombs, what a stupid idea", negative and also wrong. I could go on, but being positive with reasoning makes me hypocritical? Brilliant..
