Australia v England Second Test Adelaide

There have only been 30 successful 300+ chases in all of Test history. But two of the 30 have happened this year.

Australia need to bat time so their new ball is new at night not an hour old.

It's going to be 3 or 4 hours old now.

This is dangerous.. There's a very real scenario where they're only 1 or 2 down at stumps tonight and only need 150ish to win tomorrow.

This might be over tonight, Australia are getting hammered. This is one happens when you start thinking the game is already won and then one bad decision becomes 16.

Australia still in the box seat for this. One wicket and then it starts getting nervous. Two or three down then the fear sets in and the tail for england hasnt wagged yet beside that nice little partnership at the end yesterday. Smith wont really care if they want to play aggressively because that will create chances.

At what point do we start getting nervous? If they get to dinner without loss I'm going to be quite concerned, the ball is getting smacked around, it's not going to be moving under lights tonight, and we won't get the 2nd new ball until tomorrow.

I said it at the time and I stand by it, not enforcing the follow on was a massive mistake. Questions need to be asked.

Last night when they didn't enforce the follow on. Australia are happy to make fun of Root's gaffe to send us in and they should be laughing at Smith's decision to go back into bat. England must have pissed themselves laughing when it happened.

Thank **** for Gaz.

I reckon we would've lost about 4-5 extra tests over the last 5 years if it weren't for him.

England are simply galloping along, Starc is bowling rubbish, Hazlewood seems pedestrian and Cummins is being unlucky. Having Lyon is the trump card but England look like being 2/100 with an old ball under lights, game is unbelievably in the balance.
