Australia vs India - Test Series

Warner & Pucovski both officially ruled out for Boxing Day, so we'll go in with an unchanged 11.

Another chance for Burns, Wade & Head to make their case.

India XI:

1) Shubman Gill
2) Mayank Agarwal
3) Cheteshwar Pujara
4) Ajinkya Rahane (c)
5) Hanuma Vihari
6) Rishabh Pant (wk)
7) Ravindra Jadeja
8) Ravichandran Ashwin
9) Umesh Yadav
10) Jasprit Bumrah
11) Mohammed Siraj

Strong side. Gill & Siraj to debut.

That is a far stronger side than last outing, even minus Kohli.

Aussies better hope Laboosh and Smith don't fail to fire two tests in a row.

Turn it on to watch the test intro, Isha is talking about something and I'm like nope, I'm switching over to NZ v Pak until the start. Why does Australian cricket coverage feel the need to have the posh Pom commentating every summer? Nicholas was woeful to listen to, now he's been replaced by a female version.

Law of averages would say Smithy goes large this test - he loves Boxing Day too.

We're batting first so expecting a long day in the field for the Indians.

Loving Wade's intent.
He's getting some nice full wide ones to feast on.

Yadav and Siraj to be targeted with Bumrah bowling like the Aussies from Adelaide and not giving away any freebies

Yep, but this is a beautiful batting pitch. With the new ball India have no choice but to pitch it up and hope for some movement and an edge.

Come out with a great mindset and he's committing to the shots, therefore getting his just rewards.

Looks like Bumrah wants to attack Wade's stumps (as per 1st innings Adelaide), but hitting a 4th/5th stump line for the right handers.

Wade might get a few runs against Bumrah (given he's going after his pads), but Marnus will need to be patient and really aware of his off stump to leave well and force Bumrah to bowl onto his pads

Wade and Warner to open the third test?
That’s probably the easiest decision for the selectors. Or the last chance for Burns might be hoping the Warner partnership gets him going again.

Two attacking lefties in their mid30s - I think the selectors would want to avoid that if possible!

Not for this series I don't think. Warner walks back in obviously, Burns is just looking horrible. Pucovski has concerns over his head literally.

Oh great, now we get that stupid US Masters music going in and out of breaks.

Well, Australia's two good batsmen in now, they need to both make big centuries.

This is a pretty interesting pitch by MCG standards

Oh great here comes the collapse
