I don't normally like to be negative about my Aussie cricket team but I can see the dominance of Australia in world cricket is coming to a screeching halt.. If the selectors decide to choose the right side we might be a chance of performing better. The Selectors have to realize we can;t carry players anymore..

The dominance pretty much ended when Warney finished. PPl underestimate how much Warne used to do for us.

I think your forgetting McGrath also champ he along with Warne got wickets before a ball was bowled.. I think if the selectors got a clue we would be going better than we are though. The Saffas have a great side with perfect balance and an awesome attack it is the Ashes o5 revisited for me.. the batting line up struggling and bowlers not really penetrating like they should.

It has been embarrassing. .. Symonds should never have been selected when unable to bowl. It is hard for Punter with no Lee no that he was bowling well but injuries always hurt. I think the selectors need to play Watson in every test as the all rounder we need an extra strike bowler.

Watson should have been there, he was our second best bowler in India FFS! All he needs is a bit of faith and a bit of time and his starts will turn into good scores with the bat. We are toothless again just like in Perth with the ball. Siddle is crap all he did yesterday was bowl pumped up in front of his home crowd every other spell before and after it suggests he is rubbish. Hauritz has got 2 wickets from poor shots, he has impressed no more or less than any other spinner we have played recently. Symonds pissed his wicket away again and why he is there let alone the fact he isn't bowling is beyond me. The reluctance of Ponting to use Katich is also stupid, he spins the ball both ways and South Africans don't like to play wrist spin. Ponting and the selectors have plenty to answer for, they got lucky yesterday outside of that we have been rubbish with the ball and very average with the bat.

The most disappointing (and actually disgusting) part of today, was watching Hauritz, half-arsed try and grab a catch. No one in the Aussie side seemed to give a **** that he dropped it. Not even Hauritz.

There was just no emotion, for a wicket which would have ended this brilliant partnership.

Beads, I hate to say I told you so, but I told you SA would win this summer. Worst thing is, SA are brilliant ODI's as well.

Also, Duminy will play a lot of tests and average over 50 he is a star.

Yeah Hammo the Saffas are killing us.. Obviously I though our better players such as Hayden, Hussey, Symonds and Lee were going to perform a lot better than they have.. IMO the selectors have killed us.. I am happy to play 4 seamers plus an all rounder instead of a spinner who doesn't really spin the ball.

What can the Saffa say??? We beat you haha.. Who cares they will most likely win this series and beat us on a more regular occasion but the Aussies will not be down for long.

Stress fracture for Lee. Johnson, Shittle and Hauritz now have the job to try and stop the Saffas winning by 10 wickets. Christ I can't wait until there's a cleanout of the selectors.

Aussies will have to play for the draw if Lee is gone.. There is no way in hell barring another 5/2 spell from Johnno that the Aussies will get 10 wickets in the 2nd innings..

We won't get 10 wickets with Lee, so we certainly won't without him. Good job by Ponting today too! He is a super captain. Our "Allrounder" doesn't bowl until they have reached our total and our wrist spinner in Katich doesn't get one when you consider how crap Saffa's play wrist spin. I love Ponting the batsman but hate Ponting the captain.

Well Warne was basically doing the job until he retired but since then no one has given the side direction, decent field placings or positive body language. There has also been a distinct lack of a captain helping the selectors choose a decent side. Today was one of if not the worst day of test cricket all things considered Australia has produced since about 1995.

Yeah he is a rubbish Captain that is quite obvious but you know that the selectors will not take the captaincy off him.. He can't handle the pressure without Warne IMO and really is a disgusting person. I love watching him bat though!!

Today was just embarrassing really wasn't it?

It was evident from the 3rd over, that our bowlers had no idea how to get a wicket and it seemed as though we just bowled because we had to. There was no rhyme or reason to anything they did today.
