Good team. I think they'll have their first series win on Australian soil since coming back from exile.

Watson is one of the only guys that played consistently well in India and gets dropped just like Krezja did??? Watson has finally got a bit of confidence after all the time it has taken to get him fit and you drop him for a guy who has barely got a run since coming back and did nothing in Brisbane. Ponting and the selectors have rocks in their head. Watson just needs to get one decent score and he will be fine with the bat and he has been great cover for Lee who keeps getting flogged out of the attack.

Kreja should get a start over Siddle at Adelaide.

Otherwise the selectors need to give themselves an uppercut.

Yup Coxy. I reckon Australia were lucky they came up against NZ. With the Saffas play half decent, it could be a summer full of draws at best.

Pat Simcox needs to be in that SA side. For sure. icon_thumbs_u

South Africa have a tendency to choke so keep talking them up people.. It should be a good test series against them finally a contest.. Aussies should still win IMO.

Kreza must play in Adelaide and IMO Watson should still be in the test side and Symonds should be playing for the bulls..

ZOMG! Queensland are currently top of the Sheffield Shield ladder after their 3rd outright win in 4 matches this season. Playing above their weight at this point.

Qld are doing great. Their loss to Victoria wasn't surprising as the Vics will be in the top 2 at season's end easilly. But they beat WA over in Perth outright. WA along with Victoria are the big guns so to win over there was significant. Most important is that the Bulls back up their good form by beating South Australia this weekend. if they can do that they will be sitting pretty prior to Christmas.

As they often did for the best part of 68 years prior to winning their first title! :P

Rumours around that Roy was involved in a Bar fight in Brisbane this weekend?? Just read this on foxsports.com.au If this is true it could be all over for the big man????

The QLD bulls are doing really well and it is quite a surprise to me TBH. They are bowling teams out without Noffke too which is great to see maybe they will not struggle as much as i thought they would this season.

The more I hear about it, the more I think it's total bullshit. A punter was kicked out, and then Symonds left shortly after. Wasn't thrown out, he left.

Well hopefully he wasn't involved but we all know roy loves a drink!!

He's their biggest spending customer, of course they'd defend him.

Seriously, he can't play at the moment and he's a mental case. He shouldn't be in the test team.

He did better than half the other batsmen. Until the top order rectifies their form slump, I have no problems with him being in the team.

I am really sick of Brett Lee. So he has taken 300 test wickets now...he still averages over 30, and has a strike rate of 56.2. It amazes me that our front line bowler is so erratic, yet we have a handful of better bowlers (IMO of course) sitting in the domestic competition.

Do you really reckon we have better bowlers playing in the domestic comp? I agree Lee is no McGrath but he is our best option. Doesn't say much at all about our bowling at the moment. I'd give the bowling a bit of a shake up and give Stuart Clark and Mitch Johnson the chance first up and bring Lee on first change. He was at his best form when McGrath and Gillespie were the openers.

Don't get me wrong, I think Lee on his day can be one of the most destructive bowlers in world cricket. The problem I have with him though is that these type of situations don't occur often enough to warrant the front line bowler tag. He leads our attack, and I think that is very important but I think he needs to slow it down a touch and focus on line and length. I agree with what you said about the shake up, it might do him some good.

As for the bowlers in the domestic competition, I think Hilfenhaus, Noffke, Magoffin, Harris and the likes wouldn't look out of place in the Australian team. That McKay bloke from Victoria is bowling well too.

I'd just like to mention that I think he is a decent ODI bowler, but his test record just doesn't cut it in my opinion.
