I usually catch a couple of heat games each year but no way I'll part with my time and cash to watch this mob .

The Heat’s recruitment needs serious attention. Our struggle has always been our bowling. Bringing in Pattinson was a good start, but he is injury prone so we needed another strike bowler to form a double strike option or take the reigns when Pattinson is injured. Why we have kept Labuschagne who has a shocking T20 record and not recruited another strike bowler is beyond me.

Such a dumb team. They had to score little more than a run a ball and are trying to finish it in the 15th over. They’ll be lucky to make a hundred here.

I think they really have to reconsider their batting order. You've got Bryant, McCullum and Lynn as the top 3. Other than McCullum, the other 2 only know 1 speed, and McCullum definitely prefers the same speed too. Unfortunately these guys can all get out in the space of an over as well, and it seems to happen pretty often.

IMO there's no harm chucking one of them at 4, and having someone smarter either opening or first drop.

Yeah he’s done. Lynn isn’t the same player he was pre-shoulders, and needs to adapt or die. Learn to play spin ffs.

Pierson should go back to opening with Bryant.

Don’t agree with Pierson as an opener. He rarely produced and had already had important innings down the order. McCullum’s wicket was the most disappointing last night. I don’t mind Bryant being sent out to knock off as many runs as possible early, which he did, but especially after Lynn went McCullum needed to build a partnership, but instead got caught in the deep.

Peirson could be tbe mainstay, hang around and get set, while Bryant,Lynn,McCullum do the bulk of the scoring.

Having two openers trying to outdo each other is a bit ambitious.

Obviously a few things need to change. Vettori was my fav all time non-Australian player, but he's gotta go. Pattinson is a gun player, but we all knew he'd last no more than 3 games. Mujeeb was tough to figure out, but now it seems that they are starting to have, so he needs years to work on the rest of his game. McCullum will be 39? 40? Next year...after seeing him struggle this year, I dunno the Heat can afford to keep him as a marquee next year too. He scored a few 50s, but I don't think he looked particularly comfortable in during them most of the time.
