Yep and the thing that gets me is it has been like this from the start and they have never even tried to fix it. Shows what a Mickey Mouse comp it is.

Weren't they talking about bringing in reviews / hawkeye or whatever it is? That seems to have gone the way of the NRL virtual 10m line when they realised how badly their 'professional umpires' would be exposed.

I think it's just a cost thing... they have 4 million games of BBL each year so they'd need to set up the technology at every participating stadium .... or the broadcasters would

I don't see why they cant use hawkeye, as I think it's already setup or at least a version is (perhaps it's not a CA approved version ), but the issues would come when they're trying to tell if someone has hit it but there's no snicko or hot spot.

As soon as an ump makes a dud call on caught behind or hitting it before lbw they'd be in the shit again.

So basically without snicko or hotspot then you're just allowing challenges on LBW based on hawkeye, which may or may not be an official CA approved version of the technology

They say it's a cost thing but I reckon if they shorten the season to how it was when it first came in and fix the scheduling so the best players from Australia are available to play, the crowds will rock up.

Yeah exactly. They claim it is about costs but I think there would be concern about how much it would point out how shit they are.

He's got to be the easiest big name player to counter.. teams just lob up a spinner and more often than not he either gets out or can't score quickly enough and it puts pressure on the entire team.

It's remarkable, you'd think for a specialist T20 player where the premiere competition is in India (as we all know, those pitches spin big time).. how he hasn't come up with a technique to counter that, I don't know what he does at training. he barely played an IPL game last season for his team, you tell any BBL fan that Chris Lynn wasn't a regular they'd probably be wondering why sort of an injury he was carrying, they just don't rate him because they know he's no good against spin.

In the Perth game about 2 weeks ago I was thinking that if someone like an Aaron Finch, Maxwell, Stoinis, Marsh.. anyone in the aussie team was still holding a bat and in the position the Heat were in where he had been out there so long, you'd back any of those guys to be good enough to get the team home, not Chris Lynn.

cant remember a weak as piss side as the heat, and why the **** bother having blokes like nesser, marnus who are contracted but cant play because they are in the test side, yes they are great players but would rather contract someone who isnt out half the comp, and ffs let Haezlett and Max Bryant go
