Ben Hunt - Appreciation Thread

What about his try-saving tackle against the warriors!

So Hunt finally has a real halves partner for the first time all year and he puts in the worst performance of his year by far.

What the **** is wrong with him? Is he sooking it up over Griffin or what?

Goes into his shell a bit when things go wrong.

A real champion rises above that......

Surely people should have been expecting that kind of performance from Hunt eventually.

He has been great, but it's his first full year as an NRL halfback. He was bound to have a bad game eventually.

He better get it right for his sake, hes publicly come out put himself on the open market.

Keep playing like that and the contract hes on now will seem generous,

Lets face it, we are no hope even if we make the finals, so we may as well hope Hunt and McG put in a few stinkers to send some of the other clubs running so we can sign them cheaper.

i think you are being a bit harsh. He was very poor tonight but even the best players can have an off night so a halfback in his first full year in the position in the nrl with a new number 6 outside him in one of the biggest off field weeks in the clubs history should be given some slack.

im sure Hunt learnt more from this game than he has from the many other games this year we have sung his praises.

Wow, the tables sure turned quickly. Sure we dropped out of the Top 8 this round but if it weren't for Ben Hunt we'd be challenging for the wooden spoon right now. I don't mind people laying into Griffin because he's been shit all year but to lay into Ben Hunt really is a bit much. He's the best thing we have going right now that's not named Milford. And even then, that's eight long months away.

We're still in the 8.

Warriors play Manly. Tigers play Dragons. Cowboys play Bulldogs.

There is a very good chance Broncos will remain in the 8, and we could jump up to 7th.

Hunt's game last night is pretty much how Adam Reynolds has been playing all season.

It's easy to single Hunt out after that game, but really, the whole team was abhorrent. Even Lockyer had the odd stinker. He'll bounce back.

2009 Preliminary Final against Storm, one of the worst games I've seen Lockyer play.

Agreed. I love Ben Hunt as much as the next forum member but paying overs for him and signing him to a long term deal is a recipe for disaster. At the end of the day, he's an established first grader and a guy whose hung out with Origin players. That's it. If he can replicate his form next year though then let's go for it.

McGuire, I think is overrated. Wouldn't be too upset to lose him.

Hunt is great at one thing, those blind side raids. Very mediocre on the open side though. His dummy has been fooling the opposition extremely well, but you'd think they'll eventually start picking up on it. He still has a lot of developing to do.

McGuire is great. I don't think the people who complain he's too small for the front row would have a problem with him being at lock (though they seem to be fine with Parker at prop, claiming there is no difference). Despite being small, he makes more than Hannant and Kennedy.

Super Freak.

Hate to break this one to you, son.

No way Broncs are climbing the ladder for the remainder of this round.

Way to be a douche captain hindsight. If you insist on belittling everyone in your quest to prove to yourself you have the biggest e-penis, at least learn how to use the quote function FFS
