Ben Hunt - Appreciation Thread

You won't like it, but this son of a gun reminds me a little bit of Andrew Johns.

His decision making is exemplary - knows when to go and knows when to pass.

Needs to be here for life.

Actually he reminds me more of Allan Langer then Andrew Johns with his running game with the ball in his hands, very much a confidence player always probing around looking for holes and exploiting them and not the player you want with the ball near your tryline with any room to work with, people criticise his general kicking game and I'd say his long distance kicking game is his weakness but it's not the whole picture in that respect, his actually leading try assists from kicks and shown to be very effective at getting line dropouts from them too.

Hunt is contracted for next season. It isn't that baffling that he hasn't been 're-signed. Throw in the coaching change as well.

Any news on resigning Hunt?

I would've thought we would've seen this headline last Saturday morning after his incredible performance on Friday Night but still, nothing. Surely we have at least begun negotiations with him because his agent is going to be fielding calls from half the competition in the off season and with this salary cap bullshit still hanging over our heads, we may not have the cap to compete with some of them.

Just release Hoffman and give his entire salary to Hunt as an upgrade.

now we have barba getting more comfortable in 6 and hodges roaming at fb with a bit of ball play i think he's better equipped this time to put in a big game against them.
