Ben Hunt vs Ash Taylor

I stopped reading after this, because it simply isn't true.

Taylor's kicking game is better already, and he's played like 7 NRL games.. Hunt has played well over 100. Ashley also showed on the weekend he can run the ball quite well.

You said that Hunt has the better skill set and more tools over Taylor, but you didn't really name any of them, perhaps after you've actually listed some I'll argue them.

Admits to not reading post, criticises post.

I went on in my post to argue my point with objective reasoning. Perhaps if you actually read my post you would have seen this?

You didn't answer my question, perhaps you should be the one who learns to read.

You argued that Hunt has a better skill set and more tools.. Yet you didn't name any tools or list any skills that Hunt is superior to Taylor in, if you would kindly please list those down for me, so I can call you incorrect, that would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

p.s - Did you just learn what the words objectively and subjectively mean? You're using them every sentence.

Taylor is faster, has a much better kicking game, and is a better organiser.
Their passing game is probably on par, while Hunt's running game and defense are better, and he of course has the runs on the board, which should not be underestimated.

In what way is he a better organiser?

I didn't read beyond that part originally, then when he called me out I went back and read it. But thanks for your valuable contribution to the discussion as always b4l, really appreciated.

, I'm not gonna rewrite my post because you didn't read it.

Edit: If you have read it, then my examples and reasoning are contained within it. The numbers so far based on a number of criteria favour Hunt. Anything outside that is guessing.

I would say their speed is on par, the kicking game argument is subjective because the numbers favour Hunt and the organiser label is nearly impossible to prove.
You cannot be serious!

This tells me you haven't seen much of Taylor, and the same goes for the kicking game, as it is only subjective if you haven't actually seen both players kick during their careers.

And yes, the organiser label is nearly impossible to prove, but again, is purely based on observation. ( @broncos4life , this answers your question as well I guess)

P.S. My comments are based on having seen most of Hunt's games since he was 17, and Taylor's since he was 15, not just their FG career.

What..?

I think you need to go and re-read your original post.. Maybe you're thinking of a different post you made, because the one in this thread doesn't list any "Superior skill sets" or "Tools" for Hunt.. All you spoke about was how his role is different this year because Milford and Boyd run more and McCullough and Milford kick more.. You literally never spoke about Hunt's strengths as a player over Taylor..

It's always subjective unless you've looked at the numbers, which I believe someone posted earlier in this thread, and for kicks vs meters gained, Hunt is ahead I believe (I could be wrong and will concede that if I am). If you're basing it on effectiveness of kicks, which I guess would be hard to sort of quantify, then Hunt has more shockers than Taylor, for sure.

BP, I think Hunt will remain the better player and we will all be sitting around commenting on what a wise choice it was to keep Hunt over Taylor. Taylor will have a very bad case of second year syndrome where nothing goes right for him and teams work out his playing style and send ball runners at him continuously all game to target his suspect defence.

As a consequence he will develop a clinical depression and become addicted to slushies which will lead him to put on 40 kgs. This will immediately attract Anthony Griffin who will sign him as the panther's new playmaking half but then sit him on the bench as the reserve hooker behind Peter Wallace. This will only worsen his self-esteem issues and he will retire at the end of 2019 a broken man.

In other words, there are too many hypotheticals involved to have any firm view at this time. He could very well outshine Hunt, but I am personally backing our boy to stay ahead.

lynx000 gets it.

Where were you during the Broncos 2018 selection thread?

Quite a fair summary IMO for a biased Taylor fan boy (just kidding), I think you nailed it.

Throw me a PM if you come up with those extra tools that Hunt has over Taylor, I'll have a look over them and get back to you post haste, cheers. Brett

Yes, all of my comments are based on extensive observation of both players since tender age, not numbers, which often mean nothing without context.

I am a fan boy, there's no denying it. But that means a lot coming from you.
