Someone explain to me how Mal's post isn't just pure baiting of AP - if AP had posted that kind of post first we'd all be jumping up and down about it.

If AP had of written something similar to parody a certain poster's agenda I'd say the same thing.

mals post was also completely ridiculous.

up until 2002 or so, i thought wayne bennett was the best coach around, and would tell anyone who asked as much. since then, no, i dont think he has been the best coach. most reputable people/publications actually agree with me. ricky stuart got to a few grand finals in a row, with a victory. murray took the cowboys to a grand final. sheens took the tigers to a premiership. lang got penrith a premiership. bellamy got 2 premierships, 2 or 3 minor premierships, and rarely did his team lose 2 matches in a row. henjak took a team with no chance to within a game of the grand final.

st george winning a premiership doesnt make him once again the best coach in the game. like ive said, take a look at his team and then take a look at the roosters team of 2010 - the roosters coach did a much better job getting them where they were IMO. yes, Bennett did a good job with them, and yes hes still the greatest coach to date. but that doesnt mean hes the best at the moment.

and yes, the second i read mals post i thought 'well that woudlve gotten me a ban or at least a warning'. but hey, i know that when it comes to bashing me its pretty much no rules apply.

The RLIF awards didn't agree with you and I'd hold them in higher esteem then the Daily Telegraph awards...

so when Bellamy won it in 2009 they actually meant to give it to Wayne Bennett, did they? same with Hasler in 2008?

WB is the only person to have won it twice, but really, im not seeing how he couldve won it in 2005. the broncos got thumped in successive finals rounds and got eliminated without winning a match. then he coached the Aussies in the tri nations, which they got smashed 24-0 in the final and were the first australian team to lose an international tournament in 27 years. wow, great year wayne!

but hey, the broncos were on top of the ladder for half the season, that counts for something?

and the RLIF also said that billy slater was the best player in the world in 2008, and we all know that he wasnt, right guys?

My post was in no way shape or form a reflection of your opinion on Wayne. How would I know what you thought of Wayne in 2002? No less 1983! I think you missed the whole gist of the post. I was basically trying to convey how I believe you act in ALL opinions you put forward on this forum. Which is a pain in my ass to read. It grows tiresome as majority on here would agree. (after reading your post above I think you've proved my point.)

But I'll stop there as I don't want to venture too far off topic which I clearly already have done. :oops:

I never said that just pointing out he's the reigning coach of the year.

I'll leave it there, so don't worry mods I'm not about to turn this into Bennettmania XXVIII. AP, unlike a few posters I have time for you and generally think you back up a lot of your arguments with a lot of informed insight. We may of had our share of run it's in the past, but my reaction to mal's post wasn't personal. Just wanted to make that clear.

I'm sure you are - my comment wasn't actually directed at the admins, more any other member who bitches and moans about AP but say nothing when someone else posts something along similar type of lines as those AP likes to use to stir people up. But whatever
