THE Broncos are expected to announce within the hour that foundation coach Wayne Bennett will be returning to the club in 2012.

They have scheduled a media conference for 2.30pm.

THE battle for Wayne Bennett's services is down to the Rabbitohs and Knights after he formally rejected a chance to return to the Brisbane Broncos.

is it just me, or does Bennett seem like the biggest sook around? as soon as someone finds out that hes going to go to a club, he cracks the sads and turns around and says "No im not going to play with you anymore, youre mean".

happened with the roosters, and now it appears like its happened again with the Broncos.

I hope he doesnt come back, and i wish him all the wooden spoons in the world if he goes to the rabbitohs or the knights.

It would have been interesting to see Bennett take a hands on role with the club. With that said, I'm confident in Griffin as a coach and happy to be moving forward.

Well they aren't really comparable situations. You're drawing a long bow by attempting to do so.

He wanted the Roosters thing kept underwraps till the off-season. Which was fair enough given he didn't want the news to disrupt the Broncos season.

This time, it seems he would be moreso concerned of repeat events that lead to him leaving given that News Limited are still tipping the sh*t bucket on him.

Probably not, but it would be pretty funny considering every news site is reporting it.

That's not how it went down at the Roosters. He wanted the club to show Ricky Stuart courtesy and let him know what was happening before he found out through the media. The Roosters didn't carry through with that, so deal is off.

As far as this situation goes I'm not convinced he was ever coming back here in the first place despite Triple M's speculations.

No great shock after the Henjak interview, the rift with News was obviously not mended. The share price drop was also a pretty good indicator.

Im happy, its time the club moved on.
