Bennett coming back home (Broncos) is absolutely the right decision.

Coaching Director would be ideal, but after 2 seasons. First, Bennett should be our head choice, with Griffin as the Assistant.

Then, 2 seasons later, Bennett retires, and goes on to becoming Coaching Director while Griffin takes over for good, and is given a 3 season contract.
If Griffin performs for those 3 years? Offer him a lifetime contract. Instill MAJOR confidence in him that we want to stick by him and we WANT him at our club.
If he doesn't perform, bring in Bellamy. If not Bellamy, I'd be happy with Lockyer taking over as head coach.

Wishful thinking, we shall see.

Wayne Bennett is reported to be announcing his departure from the St George Illawarra Dragons at the conclusion of the 2011 season.

LeagueUnlimited.com understands a press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, 30 March at the Steelers Club, Wollongong, where Bennett will announce his plans to move on from the joint venture club which he steered to its maiden premiership in 2010.

Well it's confirmed by the man himself now. He's leaving the Dragons at the end of the year.
