BHQ Countdown: Most Loved/Least Liked Players Reveal thread

Harsh on Coates being above absolute plodders like Steve Michaels.

Not about talent. Michaels didn't dog fans by crying about how much he loved the club while at least considering buggering off to one of our most hated rivals.

Always remember 2008, it was an illegal team that beat us and went on to get the premiership stripped from them.

08 they got absolutely flogged by Manly 40-0 or something because CS9 tried to rip Sammy's head off in the prelim and got suspended.

But yes that was a premiership year if we didnt have to compete with a team doubling the cap

Higher for sure

Totally, I would imagine for most hated, we'd be looking at a top 10 that revolves somewhere around this (in no particular order):

1. Jack Bird
2. Matt Lodge
3. Ashton Sims
4. Ben Barba
5. Anthony Milford
6. Martin Kennedy
7. Anthony Siebold (do coaches count?)
8. Pangai Jr
9. Joel Clinton
10. Gerard Beale's knee

The smokey for mine is Jordan Kahu, can't remember if he has shown up yet or not but the way he came back purely for the free rehab and to cash his way over blown check will always tick me off even though he was in his rights to do so.

If Mundine isn't the most hated ... I demand a recount!!!!

Why try and predict it? Ruins the fun. 😉

Let's just wait for @pennywisealfie to do his thing and see what he delivers!

I'm all good with a bit of prediction. Maybe good to put them in spoiler tags if we have them though so people who don't want the surprise potentially ruined won't see it.

I still think Kahu gets a bad wrap. We treated him very poorly when we let him go, i couldnt really blame him for having an axe to grind with us. All he did really was just fulfill his contract in the end. Didnt have another offer so i dont know what people expected of him really. I never saw it as him coming back for free rehab. He just made a fool of himself and didnt show himself in a good light with his silly comments.

Jordan wasn't in the best headspace at the time. Obviously he was bitter about the injury and the way he was pawned off to the Cowboys. In hindsight he would have been better to have said nothing. I think if I was in charge of PR I would have got on the front foot and made a point about how he never wanted to leave the club, he loves the Broncos and he's going to do everything he can to come back and give his all for the jersey.

Instead I remember the comments basically being essentially 'well...after being selfless my entire career I've come to realise you have to get yours in this walk of life. So that's what I'm doing, and don't let the media try to sugar coat this, I'm doing this for me and my family!
