I don’t care what you say about the other options. Them being bad doesn’t make Billy any better. I have acknowledged that he’s done some good things. He let a try in last week but outside of that he was serviceable. This week he was terrible but put in a good kick and kick chase. He had one or two good runs but had half a dozen that hindered the attack. I think he made a good tackle at one point too. He did also throw an intercept and tried to do a dumb and unnecessary strip.

No arguments regrading Turpin though. Watching his destroy the roosters attack against the warriors is greatly satisfying.

Look, I agree he's pretty ordinary. I think I shout "Oh come on Billy" and/or "Fucking hell Billy" 20 times a game. Running in circles and running into his own players is hard to watch at this level.

But he tries (too?) hard, does seem to punch above his weight in defence most of the time, loves the club and he's also pretty consistent. Yes it's the bare minimum, but it's what we've got for the moment until Mozer gets enough experience to push him out. I don't see the point of these around-and-around arguments. He's what we've got, on current form we are a comp heavyweight ourselves despite his issues, so it is what it is. IF Mozer is tearing up Cup and Kev refuses to drop Billy for him, then we have a problem. Until that time, he is serviceable enough.

I 100% agree with you. The only reason it really goes around and around is that some others aren’t being honest about his ability or react emotionally when for example, someone points out that he had a shocker this round. On top of this, people keep voluntarily bringing it up or claim that there’s an agenda or that those who just discuss him honestly are invested in hating him.

If everyone posted like you then the whole thing would disappear.

That is only a valid point if you ignore the masses of positive comments and posts that have been made by the same people and choose to only focus on the one criticism.

Amongst all my praise I also mentioned that Capewell had only ran for 27m yet no one had issue with that.

There's all types of fans. Who are you to decide who qualifies as a Broncos fan. There are yes men fans who support the team no matter what, other fans that want the team to improve by highlighting/critiquing the team's weakness and inefficiencies. If we have all yes men fans, the team will never progress and will only invite mediocrity.

Come round 10, someone gives Billy a “Drinkwater Special”, we get Smoothy in until Mozer is ready. Billy does a bicep the week before his return and problem solved.
