One of the grubs from nsw (hasn't been named yet and won't reveal himself, cos you know, he's a tough guy) called Bateman a fucking gay ****. Another little grub from nsw (lodge) had '****' written on his strapping for some reason. Both things caught on camera.

What a great example these guys are setting.

Sounds like it was Mitchell Moses. None of the other players around him were talking by the looks of it, and he looked like he did say it based on mouth movement..

Luke Bateman was a mate of mine back in my high school days and he is someone who wouldn't let something like that worry him and he wouldn't really care that much tbh. If your playing Rugby League for a living you have to cop some hits and slurs from the opposition, I had things like that said to me when I was playing.

I don't think anyone is disputing that. Whether or not luke bateman was affected by it or not is irrelevant. That's a disgusting thing to say to anyone and just reinforces to other codes that NRL is a tough game played by ignorant thugs that if it wasn't for their footy skills would be in jail.

Besides all that it is such an abhorrent opinion to have in this day and age
