It proves that Rugby League is the superior sport in Queensland. Origin games in Qld have never struggled for crowds or ratings even during times of NSW 'dominance.' Take 2003 for example when there was a packed house for a dead rubber.

A sidenote: Queensland will win this year's series 3-0. That's my tip.

Even Pele is mourning the death of the 'beautiful game' today. He said the game is based of defense and not attack anymore so it's not entertaining. If it had a back court rule and a shot clock I might watch it (still probably not).

Not sure where to post this but did anyone catch Greg Bird mocking Cooper Cronk the other day? He compared his goal (awarded after a dodgy penalty) which was kicked right in front when had a mile of time to Cronk's desperate 40m field goal in a winner takes all Origin decider.

How many Origin series have you won, Birdy?

The Swans bandwagon really took of in the mid 90's when Tony 'Plugger' Lockett was kicking goal after goal for them. They attracted a big following despite never winning the premiership in that time (they made the grand final and lost to Norths in 1996).

You're right though that every team has bandwagoners. I've met some people here in Queensland that follow the Origin team like they are league experts during Origin time despite them knowing absolutely nothing about Rugby League at all.

I have a neighbour (teen girl aged 15 or 16) who spruiks Queensland's winning run despite the fact she couldn't tell you who Cameron Smith is, what position Billy Slater plays, what team in the NRL Sam Thiaday play for, what club Cooper Cronk plays for and etc.

Those type of bandwagoners shit me to tears
