....until someone of quality comes on the market.

Sorry but i think you need to be proactive in the modern game . And i cant see a woods , bromwich or a fafita etc coming on the market to soon .

The only prop I would consider signing for next season is Napa. If we don't get him I am backing our young guys to have a big year.

So we should just sign anyone, as long as we sign someone? Who's available? Who would you go after?

I'm not against signing a prop at all, I completely agree that we need some experience up front. But the overall theme here (not aimed at you directly) seems to be "Just sign someone".

Not at all . James and napa r still contracted players .
, But they have been rumored targets .( As has lodge ) obviously Bennett sees something in them , james i think is progressing nicely. Bromwich is a prop i would like, but Bellamy won't let him. go

How long do you wait though ? We struggled for feild position last year, and it needs to be rectified . Can't sit on our hands ,our we will face the same thing .

Well you probably don't wait until the off season to try and force a signing like they have this year

You can't just sign someone because we're the broncos. I don't think Bromwich is someone we need either would be huge money again and he's more of a workhorse type prop.

I think we need a power prop that will take the hard hit up and take it strong like Sam Burgess does for bunnies and I don't know when one of them will come on the market

I don't know if I'm missing something but Ryan James is a great player and greatly improve us. I don't like him, but that doesn't change the fact that he is quality.

If he wants to play for us we should sign him.

It's like if Ashley Greene wants to **** me, I'm not saying no on the off chance that Margot Robbie might be keen in a few years time.

Sooooo telling Kendrick.

Going by that analogy we are no chance of signing anyone

Not saying we can , but it seems these days its ok to intice someone before tere contract is up. Bromwich has an average of 142m per game , that's similar to sam. Burgess would also command bid money.

I really see james as that type of power prop too .

For what it's worth Ryan James averaged 117m at 7.6m per carry last year while Moose averaged 134m at 8.6m per carry. Stats aren't everything I know

Not saying we should go after Burgess either but matulino and Korbin Sims were both on the market this year.

I actually prefer when broncos develop from within and hate when they buy big $$$ players. Feel like Herman and joffa playing reserve grade may have been about getting miles in their legs rather than 20mins off the bench to get them ready for 2017

We have guys coming through who will be better than him in the next two years and will give away a lot less penalties.

A lot can happen in two years, so I don't think anyone should be sitting back saying we'll just wait a couple of seasons then we'll be right. FFS, I think people tend to overlook that this is the NRL... the world's premiere rugby competition...its not a development comp where we just let players evolve... you want to win the fucker every year that you compete...if you don't win it then next season you look at where you can improve and then you fix it... there is no wait for two years for these guys who may just not actually make it to come through and be our saviours.... we are Broncos... get the cheque book out, fill the gaps and develop players while we win the comp so we can keep on winning the fucker.

This sounds like an admirable approach but I honestly don't actually see us having a good track record in this in recent times. Since the Webcke Petero era, who are these gun props that we have developed from within... Mitchell Dodds, Nick Kenny, ??? Even Josh Maguire, while quality, he is still not the dominant prop that we lack. There really is something amiss on our identification of talent... maybe its been rectified in recent times and the fruit may bear soon, I hope so... but hope is no strategy and the NRL is not the place to sit on your hands and wait to see.

For sure this was happening with Herman and Joffa but they will still be bench forwards this season given their experience.
We are looking for a big starting prop to weather the first 20 and get us on the front foot.
We have some great guys coming through but none of them will be ready to start at the beginning of 2017, and our experienced front rowers lack the sting in their runs to give us decent field position which was blindingly obvious last season.
Hated getting pinned in our own half all season last year putting pressure on play makers to pull rabbits out of the arses.

Mate I do believe Ese'ese especially will be a gun, just needs some consistent time in first grade.

Prop has definitely let us down but I wasn't specifically referring to that position in particular. I just prefer to see a guy earn his way into the team rather than buy big for a quick fix.

Seven clubs are eying off Ponga not sure if we are one of them, where we would put him if we got him though is the question.

But saw a while back where Wayne said he would like to coach him again because Wayne coached him in school boys and Ponga said as well that he would liked to get coached by him as well.
