Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2016

For sure this was happening with Herman and Joffa but they will still be bench forwards this season given their experience.
We are looking for a big starting prop to weather the first 20 and get us on the front foot.
We have some great guys coming through but none of them will be ready to start at the beginning of 2017, and our experienced front rowers lack the sting in their runs to give us decent field position which was blindingly obvious last season.
Hated getting pinned in our own half all season last year putting pressure on play makers to pull rabbits out of the arses.

Exactly

Mate I do believe Ese'ese especially will be a gun, just needs some consistent time in first grade.

I also think Ese'ese can be a gun . but like you said , he needs time. So why not buy that gun now ! And Ese, ese can be our gun bench weapon.

Ese'ese could be starting by the end of the year. He has x factor and that is what we need in the forward pack.

Don't rate Ofahengaue and would prefer TPJ, Fai and Ese'ese get shots ahead of him.

I hope he is, but he is hardly the poster boy for the success of our talent identification and development systems. He is a NSW junior, having played as a youngster in the Panthers and Cantebury systems...

We bought him out of Cantebury, so while I hope he works out, he is about as much a product of our pathways as Roberts is...

Definitely isn't our junior but we have put a lot more work into him than we have Roberts.

Yeah possibly. He didn't get big minutes this year though , and didn't lock down a bench spot either.
As for Ofahengaue!, he is still young , but he doesn't seem to have that mongrel in him. This is why we need to buy a big aggressive prop that can take those big , strong runs.

I must be the only one that really doesn't want to see James at the club... main reason is it would be on huge coin, but I also don't consider him to be the rampaging prop everyone is making him out to be or are you just wanting a big body??

He has workload in him but doesn't appear to be laterally mobile or disciplined in defence. We also have workhorses everywhere in our pack at the moment

I sort of agree with this. He has huge potential but he is a bit hit and miss. Some games he does quiet well but i went to 5 or 6 titans games this year and noticed that he relies on other forwards giving the team momentum and he runs on the back of that, he doesn't tend to provide the momentum in the first place. I'd much rather a 2014/15 George Burgess

For what it's worth Ryan James averaged 117m at 7.6m per carry last year while Moose averaged 134m at 8.6m per carry. Stats aren't everything I know

Not saying we should go after Burgess either but matulino and Korbin Sims were both on the market this year.

I actually prefer when broncos develop from within and hate when they buy big $$$ players. Feel like Herman and joffa playing reserve grade may have been about getting miles in their legs rather than 20mins off the bench to get them ready for 2017
I'd love to see stats like metres after contact etc. I feel Mcguire would be lacking in that department. He gives it his all and I appreciate his effort but I think he is far better suited to get a bit fitter and try and become an 80, or at least 70 minute lock forward. He is a similar build to Corey Parker and if he develops an offload he could be great, but as a front rower he does seem to get chopped down relatively easily, unlike players like Napa, Tamou, Burgess etc.I would love to put Mcguire in lock and bring in someone like Napa to partner blair in the front row.

McGuire at lock for 80 is my preference as well with the hope that ese can improve enough to start

Going back to my comment this morning I found out who the 7 clubs that are chasing Ponga

Broncos
Cowboys

You'd think cows in the box seat unless someone goes overs. Where is he from?? Any junior connections

This isn't in order by the way, Wayne and Ponga have a connection as well Wayne has coached him in School Boys.

Ponga is a absolute gun get him put him on the wing put him fb when ever we can origin and what not and he can take over after Boyd

Because he is fast and has a rad step?

Just read about Foran if he does end up going to Warriors Lolohea will be leaving because he doesn't want to be known as a utility player.

But if we did pick him up he said he wants to be 'Five eight' but we already have Milford so where would we put him any suggestions?

Answered your own question mate. Said he wants to play five-eight, so he won't be coming here.
