The lurker reporting gagai on the move after next year ! Maybe Wayne will get his man this time round

I wouldn't want to pay over what he's worth he is reported to be the highest paid player at knights

Your link reads 402 career goals at 71.15%?
Exactly. 71.15% is terrible for a guy with that many attempts. There's a reason he's not a first string goal kicker anymore and even if he was in the side, Kahu would be a better option.

It's far from terrible, and would warrant saying he can goal kick. Ideally not first choice, but far better back up than hunt or Milford who would be our second amd third choice next year at present .

And I'd conversely argue it's much harder to keep your % up with such a large sample space.

I can genuinely see cnversions being our main Achilles heel next year. Parker wasn't great, but our other options are abysmal

Bumped into David Mead other day at Gym. He said he is likely getting a start on the right wing outside Roberts, Kahu is moving over to left center and he is unsure what is happening with Oates. Apparently he has bulked up a bit so could be moving to the bench as impact second rower. He said he thinks if Oates isn't wing, Moga will likely get first crack as he is a big body and can help fill the void of Oates strong kick returns.

I'm sure Wayne sat him down and gave him the team list for next year and told him where everyone would be playing

Well new signing usually wants to know if they will get a start. Bennet obviously said something along the lines of Kahu will be moving to the centres and you will be having a crack on right wing. His thing about Oates was based on the fact that Oates has been bulking up a bit, which is strange for a 100+kg winger to do, which is why i said he might be moving to the bench/second row.

Great find, I'd missed these.

Love the new home jersey, just a slight improvement on our current with the white strips and collar. Reckon this one is going into the collection.

I like the white away jersey too. Probably prefer this year's for the gold details though.

Good to see us on board with the Anzac jersey, don't believe we've had one the last few years.

Meh on the heritage and Nines options.

Overall, a good bunch. Clean, simple, bold designs with good integration of sponsor logos. Think the move to ISC was a good call.

It could mean that Oates is transitioning to the back-row but some players bulk up in the off-season and lose it gradually during pre-season, I think. The information is appreciated!

Yeah, I just think Oates didn't finish the season well at all under the highball, and struggled to bend over for grubbers, wouldn't be surprised if he does transition to second row.

at the gym? really

#1 user name does not check out
#2 contracted Bronco at a public gym pre pre season? or this is coming from someone who frequents the footy club training quaters?
#3 our 105kg is bulking up after debuting on the wing for QLD..
#4 our new recruit from the GC happens to get the backline lowdown from the supercoach

did he have anything to say on Benji? : )

If this was true I would be a little disappointed. Kinda want to see Pearson get a consistent crack.

Lol he lives on GC and it was at Robina Goodlife Gym. At 105kg, Oates doesn't need to bulk up, he needs to maintain size and fitness and get better under highball, as I said, he said he is uncertain what will happen with him, but that there is a lot of depth in the backs now which sounds like he might not be there. I personally think he has a point, Oates isn't a winger and unless he vastly improves under the highball, he should go back to second row. I also would probably prefer Pearson to be the winger instead of Moga, but I guess at the end of the day, whoeever trains better will get it.

I would be pretty happy if Lodge was given a go at some point, if he cuts the bullshit out of this personal life then he could be a monster for us.

I am shocked Redcliffe are even considering him, he toured the place a few weeks ago.

Carlin Anderson to Townsville/Cowboys.

The more attempts you have the harder it is to maintain a very high percentage rate...Marshall has always been a reasonable kicker and will certainly prove reasonable in this role at the Broncs if required, I would suggest.

Contracted players often use public gyms in the off-season...
