Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2016

Ask the clubs that. Well its simple. You know how much the caps normally raise by. You know its not normally a lot. You, I and the rest of us are about to learn about Club and Player Loyalty. We are about to learn about business with such a cap raise. The reason being is because they are still doing further deals and a fair chance its going to be higher again. Its 12 million with the grants to keep top line players.

So much speculation it's hurting my face

Its gonna hurt everyones heads. Finally the NRL is trying.

There's a big number of reasons clubs and players alike don't want to put pen to paper without knowing for certain what a cap raise will be. It impossible for a club or player to assess their fair value without knowing.

Aside from the $$$ increase, the other, harder to predict change, is the structure of the cap which could change significantly. What if, as you say the cap rises to 12 million, but there are now 30 players in the top squad? That's a big difference.

It's interesting, some clubs like the Broncos seem to be playing it safe and halting most negotiations beyond the end of next season, whereas a club like the raiders seems to be signing plenty of players to long term deals. It could go either way for the green machine, if the caps increased more than expected they may have locked them all up at bargain basement prices. Alternatively the reverse could occur... (Not to mention ratchet clauses - did we ban them or just talk about it?)

The concern with Kalyn is that the raps seem to be based on his ability to return the ball.

He's one of the best in the business at returning the ball. His ability to swerve and step players is beyond those even in the NRL. However, there's still other areas of his game that need to be worked on.

Normally it wouldn't be a concern for an 18 year old. However, considering he's going to be apart of the Cowboys Top 25, he's got to have more to his game to earn that position.

While Kalyn is going to have the bigger future, it's worth noting that Corey Allan, who is the same age as Ponga, out-played him when they last met back in Round 4. Allan has been one of the Broncos best in recent weeks, causing teams plenty of head-aches around the edges where he works a second-man play with Brimson and O'Hara.

Hodges just said on the Footy Show that JYY was the best winger he ever played with. *runs away in tears at the mention of the name again.*

I honestly don't think anyone would've believed how high he could've gone.

Awkward sentence, but I mean he was the best winger in the world at 22 and had only played a tick over 50 FG games. His potential was limitless even without things like the emergence of Hunt at 7 and additions of Bennett, Milford, Roberts etc

We've re-signed Tom Opacic for another season. Knights are chasing Greg Eden.

He must love Aus. He was heading back home.

Greg should head off to Canberra or possibly Melbourne, he might find the temperatures more bearable there. Poor bastard probably gets heat stroke in the middle of winter here.

Just saying the 2018 squad model is going from 60 ( Top 25, Tier 2 and Twenties) to 35 (Top 30 and 5 Rookie/Twenties)
2017 Twenties are being scrapped in favour of ISC/NSW cup reserve teams.
Sauce is always BBQ.
Check interview online with Greenberg asked Questions last week or week before.
Also theres an article breaking shortly about the 2018 Salary cap raise and the wars that have started between Clubs and RLPA's. And Greg Inglis.

Have 20s definitely been scrapped for 2017?
