I really dont think he will. Not long term anyway

I don't think long term either, but I just get the feeling he will be there, at least for next season.

Of course, could be totally wrong :porthozthinksthisishot:

Everyone thought it was ridiculous to pay a winger in Folau what we did. Worked out great.

Folau = Ennis, Hannant, Stagg and Eastwood
Bulldogs finished 2nd, we finished 6th that year. It did not work out great with the talent we lost to fit him in the team.

BRONCOS coach Wayne Bennett insists Tom Opacic will not be granted a release despite Sydney NRL rivals circling the out-of-favour three-quarter.

The 100kg Opacic impressed in his rookie season last year but has been unable to break into the NRL this season after undergoing off-season shoulder surgery.

That opened the door for Cowboys import Tautau Moga, who has been a revelation for the Broncos this season at left centre.

Sydney clubs are keen to secure Opacic but with Moga going to the Knights next season, Bennett insists there is a future at Red Hill for the Queensland Residents representative.

Awesome news.

I don't agree that Thaiday is our weakest link. Has far more skill and more experience than Sims which is invaluable.

Stats from the Bulldogs match:

Thaiday - 11 runs for 107 metres and 2 offloads

Sims - 8 runs for 67 metres and 1 offload

Woah, stats from 1 game.. That's pretty much case closed then I guess.

Sims may not have put up monster stats in that Bulldogs game, but he wasn't shying away from the hard stuff. Admittedly I was at the game so may have not had the most amazing view of things, but I saw plenty of times he was willing to cart the ball up in the thick of strong defence. The knocks on Sims seem bewildering to me. He is prone to some lazy tackle attempts at times, but in my opinion he is doing what is asked of him.

In regards to being worried about paying a Centre $700k, I suppose it's not too bad when you remember that the Sharks are paying Dugan $750k a year to play Centre for them, and Bird is infinitely younger & more talented.

Opacic is out-of-favour? I mean being injured (yes I know he has RECENTLY returned) kind of makes it hard to be picked doesn't it?

We can't match 1 mil a year that titans will offer.

I think they're talking about Ash Taylor and the rumours that the Titans are about to table him an offer of 1m+ per season.
