Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

Titans are being urged to chase Boyd and throw a multi-million dollar deal at him if Hayne leaves.

They would be wasting their time, to be honest. Boyd won't leave.

He never wanted to leave in the first place. It would take the Broncos getting rid of him for Boyd to leave the club.

But, apparently Kahu is on their list.

Who was urging Titans to get Boyd? Having both him and Hayne on huge money is crazy when they play the same position.

0% chance Boyd leaves, especially if he's named captain. I wouldn't blame them for throwing money at Kahu if Hayne leaves, I think he could be a pretty adequate Fullback, safe as a house under the high ball, decent ball playing, decent short kicking game. He's just a bit too slow.. If he had some wheels he'd be a great Fullback.

Travis Meyn. I'm pretty sure he is a Titans fan.

It would only be if Hayne leaves.

Don't think Kahu is that slow... he just looks it next to Roberts, but who wouldn't?

Jayne will definitely leave, it will leave the Titans in a mess when he does, they've put everything into buying a premiership this year or next.

I think the only scenario that Su'A gets a permanent spot this season is if we embrace this "mini-rebuild" and just throw guys like Pearson, Su'A, Opacic & Arrow straight in the deep end. A lot of people seem extremely against the idea, and I don't blame them, but I come from the NBA culture, if you aren't good enough to win a championship, tank, re-build, give your best young guys all the minutes, let them grow.

It's obviously not as efficient in the NRL, because we haven't got a lottery based draft system like the NBA, but the principle is the same in regards to putting your young players in a hyperbolic time chamber and possibly advancing their development by a full season or two.

It's also extremely unlikely that we'll do it, because we're presumably still good enough to make the top 8 this year, but if for whatever reason we decide 1/3rd of the way through the season that Hunt has already punched out, and we get an injury or two, I think it's our best course of action.

We could throw out something like -

1. Boyd (c)
2. Kahu
3. Opacic
4. Roberts
5. Pearson
6. Milford
7. Scarlett
8. Sims
9. McCullough
10. McGuire
11. Oates
12. Gillett
13. Arrow

14. Pangai Jr
15. Ese'ese
16. Su'A
17. Nikorima

Players omitted due to age / contract: Hunt, Mead, Thaiday, Blair, Glenn, Marshall.

I think seve or isakho (haven't a clue on how to spell it ) would be good to see how they go

Far out this place is repetitive... we are seriously circulating the same conversations we've had since September 2015. Eh

Well we do! It just always boils back to:

"Ben hunt lost us a premiership" and "we wouldn't of been in the position to win one without him anyway"

To:

"Ben hunt has a poor kicking game" re: "well it's mostly because of a light forward pack"

And:

"Glenn needs to be dropped" re: "Glenn is an underrated necessary vital cog and reliable" etc etc

Used to be the old Copley vs Reed, Thaiday should be dropped, Parker should play lock not prop, Macca has bad service, Milford to fullback

Lol

Just tired of soooo many repeated conversions in EVERY thread.

Good day :)

Any chance of Su'a playing at lock in the future???

Actually none of those things matter if Macca passes to Parker (who walks in under the posts untouched and puts us 10 points up with 15 to go) instead of throwing the stupid Macca dummy which we have come to know and hate.

It was Macca's **** up as much as anyone's.
Basically to end this ridiculous argument. it was the whole team's fault.
Everyone failed in the game
It's in the past now, no one can do anything about it

I agree.

Just pointing out how stupid this "blame Hunt" thing is.

Apparently Broncos chasing Christian Welch

If its true broncos are chasing Christian welch. That means either Josh Mcguire or Adam Blair not gone be broncos next year.

Well when the rumors about ryan an james and napa were going around, a couple of articles said that they were being chased to replace blair . Didn't really read into it , but you would think someone would have to move on.

When was the last time a Bronco player got a contract upgrade when nearing retirement age? I'd suggest this is just a way of stopping those players trying to do so, business is business.
