He hasn't lost his pulling power or aura despite what some people choose to make up. Or did Bird just decide he liked Brisbane despite having no ties here

Brisbane have signed NSW under 20s playmaker Troy Dargan.
The Parramatta No.7 spent 2017 playing NYC and ISP NSW but joins the Broncos’ top 30 as a back up to Kodi Nikorima and Anthony Milford.
The 20-year-old is a former Australian Schoolboys representative and has a very handy kicking game as part of his arsenal.

Jnik is on way too much money to come back. Apparently, roosters will be paying him close to 400k for the next year of his contract.
