I'd say Lodge would be looking at which team he can use as a platform to better the rest of his career.

Broncos prop situation is a shambles so he is half a chance to jag a starting spot through the year and probably odds on for a bench spot.

Given broncos go deep in the finals year after year it is also a good look for him to be a member of a pack sitting high on the table.

Compare that to the titans whose starting props were largely established last year and are potentially going to be near the bottom of the ladder.

I think if anything we'll have Lodge for a year before Sydney comes calling ala Ese and co who we try to keep on the cheap but can't match the other money thrown at them.

i was initially ok with the lodge signing and redemption, however i have heard recently and allegedly that certain behaviour and dark side was on show for all to see in the tunnel at redcliffe during the recent semi final loss.
allegedly some grown men were frightened and had never seen anything like it in their life.
undertsandably reddy lost the game and you can wear disappointment etc, however this was supposedly next level.

Ive posted a couple of times a few months ago i heard about him doing a few worrying things. This seems like another escalation.

the chooks are still trying to off load him but no takers due to the cost and other issues.
his old manager apparently got him 375 for next year!!! i might have to ask him to come in and negotiate my salary next time im due for review, cause thats insane money.

Yeah they have a unique style but would be a big gamble to give them the reins , and the titans can't afford to do that imo. Cheers for the insight mate

I don't think it is such a big risk. Especially not for the Titans, what are they going to lose? They're the perfect team to take a bit of gamble on a rookie coach with a point of difference.

What the Walkers do very well is understand footballers and football. They have been around professional teams literally since the day they were born.

Like I predicted yesterday Garth's ability to develop got him over the line. It's impressive and none of the other candidates have developed players as well as Penrith and Garth are doing.

He had the advantage of being a legitimate reserve grade where JD and the Walkers don't. With Penrith you can track players from 20's to ISC to NRL.

Ok , i feel the titans need some sort of success in the next few years. It's a tough crowd on the coast with any sporting franchise. There has been a solid crop of youngsters come through Penrith over the last five years.
