P.S - Can we talk about the fact that there's a player playing Mal Meninga Cup called Tevita Ofahengaue? Is that some sort of sick science experiment?

If Bird doesn't fire in the halves, I can't think of any reason not to just throw him in the deep end like the Panthers did with Cleary, he debuted at age 18, Paix is 18 (Or at the very least, turning 18 this year.)

Unless of course the hype is unwarranted and he's not even close to the player that Cleary was at 18, not sure, never watched him.

Cleary was further along, he played Under 20's and New South Wales Cup which would have helped him be ready. I think no matter how well you're playing MM would be too much of a step up. They may be the same age but playing U18's makes it hard to gauge how he'd go.

All our sides have good halves pairings, Norths have Dargan and Murphy, jets have Christian and Phillips, Redcliffe have faiud and Cullen, magpies have Hamilton and Scarlett and Wynnum have booth and Dobson.

Maybe booth and murphy's ability to play hooker could free up a spot. Norths have used 3 different hookers this season already

Yeah I have thought about this, I think Norths are the best fit. They've moved him from the Mustangs this year so you've got to see it out now.

I think post MM, Colts and see how he goes. But of course that depends on how happy they're with Norths' halves already in Colts they're going well.

Norths are having a good year in all three grades so going to be hard to crack.
