A story is out on CM that Ryley Jacks was offered a two year contract by the Broncos recruitment chiefs and was on the table for 2 weeks. He was about to sign until Bennett intervened and scrapped the deal saying he wasn't the answer at halfback for the Broncos.

I would agree with Bennett on that... not sure why people on here want mediocrity in the halves just to stand inside Milf

I think they just want an actual halfback to be at the club... We've thought we had an actual hooker at the club for ten plus years now, so I'm not certain we will get an actual halfback, but the hope remains nonetheless...

We all want an actual halfback but what makes Ryley Jacks the answer.

I think some are so desperate they think any half that comes onto the market must be the answer and Broncos should make a play.

I've not seen much in Ryley's games that screams first grade half back and if he came as the broncos signing for starting halfback we're in all sorts of trouble

We don't even need a REALLY good one. Just one that can actually organise the team and take the burden off Milford.

I do not understand at all as to why do we have Dargan, SoS, Deerden, Nona & Boyd in our squad. The fact that we have so many of them (half-backs), it doesn't hurt to pick one of them and see how they go. Surely, they can't be much worse than how we've been going for years now. That way, it will entice others to excel at their game & instill confidence in them to keep on improving. That way we can see who fits the bill better.

I reckon they need a push & we should give them the break they deserve. Doesn't hurt to try out SOS at 7 especially, he being a left foot kicker. next week. Put Kodi back at 14 & we all will like him there but not at 7. He's trying hard enough but sadly, not's working. Why don't we try making these changes puzzles me.

If he signs with those flops, I hope we drop him back to Q cup the same week. The money they’re chucking around is ridiculous, and with our upcoming talent I don’t think there is a need to go all out on him - Thursday night probably confirmed this..
Would it kill the roosters to start producing their own talent? I know he isn’t one of our juniors, however we did take a gamble on him. They’re the joke of the league.

I dont think he is worth the big money yet. He needs cowboy level performance most weeks. He is not even close to Taumalolo yet as a player. Still lazy in defence, still giving away dumb penalties and still no consistency in his performances.
