If burgess gets his medical retirement in the next week or so (as rumoured) I think we will be at massive risk of losing Fifita. I’ve been confident we will retain him, but souffs will go hard if they manage to get burgess’ money off the cap.

Mate I don't know if that is right, Sam is a middle these days and they need a middle to replace him, not a second rower. The rumour is that they are chasing Luke Thompson from St Helens which makes more sense because he is a genuine middle and one would presume that WB would have a relationship with him from the English squad.

I hope you’re right. I would just be very surprised if they didn’t have a red hot crack at him. I am hoping we have had a quite word to him and let him know that he is next in line for being C after Glenn (if he signs on for another 2yrs.)

Also John Sutton retired. So you would imagine they definitely want another second rower. South's would have a bit of cash I'd imagine. With George Burgess leaving, Sutton retiring and potentially Sam leaving too.

If he always got what he wanted then we would have had either Johns or Kimmorley as halfback in the early 2000's. He would have got Ash Taylor. He wouldn't have got sacked and he would have got TPJ and Oates when he left for South's.

That list is also longer but those are off the top of my head.
