Something along the lines of despite Souths denying he wants a release there's a big chance he ends up at the Broncos, primarily because his missus wants to live up here.

He's a toss, but he's pretty accurate these days when it comes to rumours, not sure why everyone assumes he isn't. His strike rate a few years ago was much worse than it is now.

I have a pretty good inkling Wayne wants Bird at lock. I'm also still feel they aren't 100% sure about Jimmy yet tbh. As a player he is fine, but maybe for the trouble he has been off the pitch he wants more than we are willing to pay.

Implying that's exclusively his rumour? Everyone RL journalist in the world has had that scoop at one point or another. Is everyone unreliable or is it possible that Inglis changed his mind a couple of times?

Well without being privy to what Jimmy actually gets up to off the field I would not want to lose Roberts for Inglis, that would be a step backwards.

Surely Inglis at best only has another 2 years left in him.

There has been real legs to this rumour a few times. Genuinely has been close.

supposedly was part of the reason he went off the rails, his wife lives in brisbane/has moved to brisbane and he didn't have the support network.

in some ways i'm like **** you, you've made your bed, you knew your wife wanted to move back here (it's been mentioned for years), time to man up and accept your decision.

but in another way i'm like yeah i'll take inglis, i think he'd do well here, he'd be happy and close to his mate hodgo, he isn't what he was but he could still do a bit of a meninga and dominate with his size for his last few years.
