I'm not selling him short at all. He has an elite level kicking game, and nothing else.

???? Obviously im talking about the money. I think we need a controlling half more than a ball playing lock. Gillette could be that player and then we would have $700k to make a play. Now we would need to move people on .

Exactly! Bird is a nice pick up but not what we needed at all, especially at whatever his salary is if it is in the ballpark of what was suggested even though that's doubtful.

I rate KNik so highly and would actually like him (or Roberts) at fullback but I'm not blind and can see the concerns of KNik and Milf as halves long-term in the absence of a genius like Smith at hooker. So getting Taylor back should probably have been the money we used on Bird.
