I dunno, I think Tallis joining as Bennett's assistant coach is more likely than Pearce coming here.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I heard a rumour today that if Cronk Joins the Roosters, Pearce may come to the Broncos.

As hard as it is for me too say, i'd take him with open arms. Would work wonders with milford.

Whoever takes him will only have him for the short term because it's obvious that the Roosters will sign Cronk for 1-2 years before taking Pearce back (whether or not he'd agree to get shafted like that who knows), but that's all we'd need him for.

Where's he going to play tho? They'd be mad to move Keary on after the season he had, and I can't see Pearce, who is a top 5 club half, playing hooker or off the bench - and why would they shaft two very good hookers in Radley and Friend just to accomodate Pearce out of position? The Cronk signing is going to backfire on them big time anyway imo, especially when Pearce lights it up at a new club if he's allowed to leave and stays away from the graveyard that is the Warriors.

As an aside, how the hell do the rorters reckon they've got enough cash in the bank to have the following spine players on their books: Friend, Radley (I'll give him a pass because he's probably on a barebones contract), Pearce, Cronk, Keary, Teddy, Gordon, not to mention the other stars in their side? They're not Real Madrid...

Like with any releasing of an unwanted, overpaid player, unless the new team wants to fork out more than a minimum sum, the team doing the offloading saves nothing. Even if someone takes JNik for $200k, it'll only save the Roosters ~$100k as they have to promote another player on at least minimum contract value. Same with Hastings.
