I don't usually take much notice of highlights videos, but I remember seeing Walsh's one a few months back and actually being impressed. Always like to see quality passes in highlights, not just steps.

So would i.

I just hope it doesn't hinder our chances of signing a seasoned halfback.

You don't need to worry about that bud. As much as I like Birdy, he 100% will not be here in 2020. You can quote me on that. The possibility of us siging a half from one of the remaining 4 teams has increased. And no, it is not anybody from the Storm. Bellyache will be keeping Croft and even with some salary cap pressures down there, I think you will find Chambers will be made the sacrificial lamb. Lots to happen over the next little while, don't blink!

I knew we had him but I didn’t actually think he was this promising. How old is he?

Had a fantastic year and was terrific for Tweed.

Plays for the Australian school boys Sunday. Part of Tweed’s MM team with Coates this year.

Came off the bench for Qld U18 in the win before Origin one.

I’ve spoken about him a bit since Qld Under 16 last year. Really strong runner of the ball, Sunday will be a test because Nz are not school boys they’re U19 and they’re going to try and bash him.

Six from the Australian School Boys last year played NRL this year so he could be a crack in 12 months.

Here is my take on who to watch Wednesday, camp starts Thursday.

Tabuai-Fidow

13 tries in 6 games for Blackhawks, Pride kid from Brothers Cairns. Speed and just try scoring ability. He will get a double on Wednesday.

That poor fullback.

Sam Walker.

Ipswich kid, IGS and just a natural footballer. Walker does things a veteran NRL half couldn't do. Kicks with both feet and throws a great pass. Given his family of two uncles and dad that played NRL and Gary played for Norths in 1980 GF it's not surprising.

Coates

Made his ISC debut last week with two tries, 7 tries in MM this year. Not as damaging as last year but he didn't have Dearden either and Tweed didn't go on a big win like they did last year. His run last year in the 18's got Queensland their first try.

Jack Howarth

Great footwork and just a big moving unit. Scored a terrific try against Norths in the MM. He just too robust for some U18 to stop. His two first two tries against the Jets were in the first 30 minutes. That's great for a forward. Taking the game away. Very similar to Fifita last year.

Walsh

I have liked him since the U16 Qld game last year, I think he will love playing with Walker who was injured last year and didn't play for Qld. I have been saying for 12 months what a leader Walsh was and how impressive he was. Walker and Walsh will combine for at least one try. Walker was great with his fullback all year and uses him a lot- Walsh moves well.

Here was my take on Walsh in June before Origin. Still think the same, chance to combine with Walker again Sunday. Walker scores five tries in his last game in school for IGS two weeks ago.

@1910 your write up on walker makes the roosters getting him sting so much more.
