We still need to develop our own talent but making a few good signings when we are lacking talent is a must.

I agree with some of the sentiments in this thread. I still have a feeling we think of ourselves as Queensland's club. Those days are over, we used to have open slather on any young junior in Queensland and it worked well for us. Now the competition for youngsters in Queenslsnd is fierce. Honestly, if our recruiting team is not sourcing NSW areas or New Zealand or even Melbourne, them they are not doing their job.

we need a gameplan that suits the players. not a game plan that tries to make every player interchangeable and the same. im not overly concerned with our recruitment, we have a decent player base, i just dont think its the cattle, its the coaching.

it would be nice to pick up a gun signing but i dont think we needed to go after JT (im glad he is staying at the cowboys tbh). aside from him, who else has there been? id like us to sign hopoate though.

Steve Turner - not flash but he gets the job done and is better than our options now.
Todd Carney - Yeah alright I'm putting this here to spark some anger ;)
Ryan Stig - Has his moments, A change of club could help him however not much of an upgrade on what we have now.
Kevin Locke - eh
Jamie Soward - Best option of a bad bunch, However tends to go missing a little much in games.. Plus he is a bitch.

2014 is a little nice

Shaun Johnson - Needs a good halves partner but would still be a great addition.
Gareth Widdop - Screw it let's buy 2 halves and partner Widdop/Johnson
Jarryd Hayne - With Hodges retiring (guess) we can throw some Hodges Money+ at Hayne. Brisbane open the wallet.


Personally I'd be happy to see Brisbane hold out for an extra season and just throw some money at getting.

Haynes next contract could be his last and he will want a premiership. Build a team that gives him a chance and he could cost less than we think.

Should have gone hard after DCE when he was flip flopping with Manly at the beginning of last year. There were rumors that he wanted to come back to QLD

It's good to see I'm not the only supporter who treats their team like it's fantasy.

I don't want this club to become a transit lounge filled with whatever flavour of the month player becomes available. The Broncos were never about that, we were all about setting standards both on and off the field and while we're doing it tough at the present, we have to be careful with who we recruit. Picking up players like Josh Dugan or Todd Carney will demolish all the hard work the original directors had for this club.
