Wouldn't be able to afford those 3 when the Broncos keep paying overs for averages forwards.

of course they will, but that doesnt mean i cant wish they wont be offered new contracts. thaidays coasted for years on the back of maybe 1 excellent season, hannant has just coasted on the back of even less. their reputation basically gets them a guaranteed starting spot in our team, rep teams, and big dollars. neither have been in the top 10 in their position for years IMO.
 
I guess the Broncos, Maroons and Australian selectors all have no clue about talented players.

And that's how Carney was. It's how Mason was as well.

Mason took longer, however both those players cleaned up their acts. Dugan can as well and it's a real shame it won't be at Brisbane where that happens.
 
Apparently RLW mole says that we are a big chance to sign Widdop, although last week RLW said he was almost cert to re-sign with the Storm

Mason was in a club full of morons already at his level.
Carney had to be banished to the backblocks where he got taken down a peg by the locals and eventually grew up, he didn't come good in the limelight of the NRL.
Dugan is still in a place where he thinks clubs will overlook his faults because of his football (and ATM they do), the next club he signs with will pay a price.

Craig Bellamy is probably sprouting the rumour that Norman wants to stay, so that keeps Widdop in Melbourne.
 
Not keeping Thaiday or Hannant? What a stupid idea!

Not at all sold on Widdop. He's not a star, I think he just looks better because he's in the Storm team. I certainly don't get excited by the prospect of signing him and cringe at the idea that we'd pay him 600k or whatever to do so.

Agreed, but I'm so sick of the negativity. "Doesn't matter who we get, we play shit footy, we'll make them crap players"...blah blah blah.
