Broncos Player Movements and Rumours 2013

Why all the arguing...? We all support the Broncos and everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether or not it is the same opinion as others.

My personal opinion is pay the transfer fee for Tomkins and go all guns blazing for him.

Some people are saying that he isnt proven in the NRL. For England playing against Aus he was great. He was playing against the best players in Australia and he didnt look out of place at all. He was miles ahead of any other English players and looked extremely dangerous when he had the ball.

What a debacle. Imagine what we would have to give the Bulldogs if Barba wanted to come here.

We paid a transfer fee for Hannant?? **** me what a joke.

FFS beads why do you care about a bloody transfer fee. It doesn't go towards the cap and we are a rich club, why not use it to our advantage. Far out have a snickers or something

Well I think the situation was appropiate for a transfer fee.

Hannant just signed a long term contract, he was then homesick and wanted to come play for us and we wanted him as we were desperately short a quality prop so the Bulldogs said hey this won't really cost you guys anything but we can make some money off it and we'll be reasonable and stamp the Hannant release hassle-free. The Hannant transfer was cheap as chips for us as the stadium isn't exactly fully booked anyway so it makes no difference but beneficial to the Bulldogs because they could make it into an interstate membership package.

The only way we'll get Tomkins without a transfer fee is he if does a Dugan.

I think a $2 million transfer fee is about right for Tomkins. I don't give a **** it's not my money.

Heard Carney has signed with the sharks for 650k a year. Cross him off the list.

TBH I'm not really disappointed about missing out on Carney, sure he would have been nice but I don't know... He's not the sort of player I would be over the moon to find out if he had signed for us.

Now Tomkins or Shaun Johnson are two players I would LOVE to wake up hearing they've signed a contract to play for us. Make it happen homie Gee.

Im not disapointed either as long as we have somebody else in mind. Either Folau or Tomkins for me

Errr, I'm seriously not sold on Folau. Great player don't get me wrong but I think what we really need is a fullback and/or half, I don't think we need a centre/winger. Now if Folau wants to play fullback I'd be all for it but even then I can't see Folau coming back to us, I think it's extremely unlikely we'll see him in Broncos colours next year.

Yeah i dont want him as a centre. Its fullback or dont bother coming...

Hodges could call it a day any second, going after Folau is a no brainer for me.

Maybe but I still don't think a top quality centre is something that would turn us into a premiership team, a fullback, or half I believe will take us to that level.

I wouldn't say no to Folau, but seriously... not for fullback! He would have exactly the same problem as Hoffman in the ball playing dept.

As a centre, hell yes!

I wouldn't say "no" but out of him, SJ, and Tomkins, he'd be 3rd on the list.

Sam Williams srsly. Hopefully he guns it tomorrow and Broncos will go for him. Or at least kidnap Milford, he was great in a losing side tonight.

I don't think the Broncos are too concerned about the fullback position. The impression I get is that Jordan Kahu is seen as the heir apparant and the hope is that he gets a few games under his belts before the club really gets behind the move.

Of course if a player of Josh Dugan's talent falls into our lap, we'll make a play but I don't think we're going to throw millions of $$$ at a player like that.

Halves is a different story but I still don't think will write any blank cheques. I can see us bringing in some up and comer who gets a very mixed reception.

I also fully expect we'll sign a forward or two which will have some fans scratching their heads but will be handy squad purchases.
There is a strong rumour that a centre from Qld is going to the warriors and I hope it is not Kahu. Timu is going on his Mormon gap year, probably next year so a forward signing would be good

Izzy has no plans on coming back to Brissy as he enjoys the Syd lifestyle and his siblings like their schools. Coming back to the Broncos is a million to one. Doubt if his family would be too keen in coming back to the bright lights of Browns Plains.
