Merrin is a good player but I don't think he's a particularly good fit here when we already have Josh McGuire and personally I don't like him after what he did in Origin II 2013.

Has that Dragons stink about him too.

I don't want Merrin, HE IS A GRUB! If anything wait till next season and get someone like Papalii or taumalolo or taupau. I hate merrin a naw grub is not suppose to be in broncos jersey end of story. And if we wait till next season will give these young kids a chance to take a position for 2016. 2015 in my eyes is make or break for a lot of our players.

I don't get these comments. I really don't.

No one says anything about the likes of Tallis and Hodges. They praise them.

No one says Broncos should have avoided signing the likes of Tallis and Hodges. They praise them.

Both of them have done their fair share of grubby things..

The signing of Tallis is before my time and I'm sure before the time of the internet Rugby League community but I'm sure he won supporters over when he decided to sit out a year and stick to his morals.

Hodgo was one of the most unpopular signings at that time. From my experience, the only Broncos player to be booed when his name was read out and Bennett verified the negative reaction in his second book. He won fans over by cutting the crap out and being a modest signing, filling a spot the Broncos desperately needed.

Can't see Merrin really doing that and don't particularly like him.

I doubt we'll actually sign Merrin. We are obviously pushing the cap (if not actually breaking it), if the NRL were investigating us. Yeah, we lost Kennedy, but that only frees about 100K, and we are still paying the rest of his cash. Lost Hannant and Hoffman, but we'll be paying them off too. The club seems to think Boyd is a more improtant target, so that's where most of the money will go.

Yeah Hannant was off contract, i also doubt we are paying much (if anything) of Hoffmans contract, it wasn't overly big, only about 350k a season.

Joseph Paulo re-signed with Eels today, so that ticks another lock off available list.. Merrin is virtually the only decent one left.
